WSF Ambassadors - Part I
AMBASSADORS PART I
The term “firing on all cylinders” means an engine is running at peak performance. In other words, all the pistons are contributing toward a common goal.
WSF is blessed to have just completed another record-breaking Sheep Week® . We were firing on all cylinders. Our staff, volunteers, contractors, and vendors all did their part. Our exhibitors, sponsors, donors, and buyers all contributed at a high level, as did our members, Chapters and Affiliates, and other partners. They are all recognized, as they should be, in some way across the pages of this post-convention issue. Another group that contributed significantly to our success is what we call our ambassadors.
These are individuals that are respected communicators and advocates within the Wild Sheep Family and broader hunterconservationist community that helped us spread the good word on WSF and Sheep Week® to all those that look to them for insights and credible and inspiring information. The “buzz” leading up to, during, and after the convention was largely their doing.
Please join us in thanking them for their efforts and loyalty when you get the chance and watch future issues of Wild Sheep® for features on WSF Ambassadors Rachel Ahtila, Craig Boddington, Amanda Caldwell, Adam Janke, Jason Matzinger, J. Alain Smith, Jana Waller, Remi Warren and new 2022 additions to the WSF Team! WS

GUY EASTMAN
Guy Eastman was born and raised a third-generation member of the famed Eastman outdoor family in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Now living with his family outside of Cody, Wyoming, Guy has been hunting and filming western trophy big game for over 40 years—skills he was taught at a very young age by his legendary father, Mike and grandfather, Gordon Eastman. Soon after his graduation from Purdue University with a degree in engineering, Guy returned to his hunting heritage and outdoor roots to work in the family business as the publisher of the Eastmans’ Hunting Journal. Thereafter he co-founded the Eastmans’ Bowhunting Journal and is now the host of Eastmans’ Hunting TV airing on the Outdoor Channel for more than two decades. The allure of hunting and fly-fishing has taken Guy to nearly every continent on the globe in search of adventure, but some of his most memorable endeavors have come from his native state of Wyoming where his family has gladly called home for five generations now. ADAM FOSS
Adam Foss is a world-class hunter who has transformed his passion for wildlife and wild places into a rewarding career in filmmaking and photography. Born in the Canadian Rockies, Adam spent much of his youth bow hunting sheep with his father, Tom, and older brother, Cameron, and has been obsessed with wilderness adventure for his entire life. At age 24, he was the youngest person to take all four species of North American sheep with a bow, a noteworthy achievement for a hunter of any age. But despite this accomplishment and others, Adam is much more focused on the process of the hunt—spending challenging days in the mountains, forming long-lasting friendships, stewarding wild landscapes, and conserving legendary big game species. Adam is a Summit Life Member and Life Member of several WSF Chapters and Affiliates. WS

RANDY NEWBERG
Randy Newberg has spent the last thirteen years hosting his popular hunting TV shows, podcasts, and other digital media platforms, all focused on self-guided public land hunting in the Western United States. Randy currently distributes video content on YouTube channel Randy Newberg, Hunter and via his proprietary video platform Fresh Tracks+ with his team of ten creative employees.
Randy’s podcast, Hunt Talk Radio – Randy Newberg Unfiltered is a companion to his wildly (pun intended) popular web forum, HuntTalk.com. Randy is co-host of the Elk Talk Podcast with Corey Jacobsen, the premiere elk hunting podcast.
Wild lands and wild animals are what drives Randy in his advocacy for hunters in America. His platforms are designed to show average hunters the remarkable experiences that are available for the price of a tag, the gas to get there, and the effort invested. Whether it be bugling elk or speeding pronghorn, rifle or bow, Randy will travel the far corners of the West in search of food and adventure.
Randy lives in Bozeman, Montana with his wife, Kim, where he volunteers for many national and regional hunting-conservation groups. When not hunting, Randy and Kim spend the summer traveling the high plains in search of western walleyes. WS
