Kyle Anderson

Rocky Mountain bighorn

After a 15 year wait, my dream of drawing my first sheep tag was realized. With less than a 2% chance, I would be the lone non-resident hunting the unit in south central Colorado. After forest fires and 80 degree temps hiking in, the heat yielded to a winter storm. With 50 mph winds and whiteout conditions, I was able to harvest my first wild sheep on an unguided hunt on day one. We weathered the near-zero temps with trees falling all around us in the night and hiked the five miles back to the trucks amidst six inches of fresh snow. So grateful to be kicked out of the <1 Club®! The hunt can be seen on YouTube: https://youtu.be/TGK6hNcYheU

Way to go Kyle, you are kicked out of the <1 Club®!

Eric Best

Desert bighorn

It was just another average April, and between the initial email and the phone ringing, I was made aware that there could be an opportunity for a desert bighorn hunt in Mexico. But there is always a catch, it seems….and this was no different. I had less than two weeks to prepare, book flights, and make the necessary arrangements to get there. Everything went according to plan, and the crew made sure every detail was accounted for. We saw sheep every day, but on the third day, we found the one we would attempt to make the approach to. Eight hours later, I was officially “kicked out.” There is no better feeling, and I can’t wait to hear the stories from others, and share mine. Eric, you are kicked out!

Ben Kirkendall

Rocky Mountain bighorn

After a summer full of excitement and concern for wildfires, it took two trips, and 12 days to find this beautiful ram. Dad and I spent many hours wearing boot soles down and glassing elevations between 3,200 and 9,000 feet. The country was as beautiful as it was rugged. Through the trials of this hunt, I was particularly blessed to have my dad by my side through the entirety of it. An adventure of a lifetime, and a memory I’ll treasure for the rest of my days. A special thank you to the Wild Sheep Foundation for their work in making sheep hunting possible.

Ben, you are kicked out!

Kyle Carlson

Rocky Mountain bighorn

I was blessed to draw a Colorado bighorn tag in 2021, and took my ram on day five. A big thank you to WSF, Rocky Mountain Bighorn Society, and CO Parks & Wildlife for the work they do to allow this opportunity. I want to especially thank my brother Tim. This ram is just as much his, and I couldn’t have done it without him.

You are kicked out Kyle!
