Africa Fire Mission is a 501(c)3 committed to increasing the sustainable capacity of fire departments in developing communities. We accomplish this through training, empowerment, support, and encouragement.
Message from our Executive Director
Thank you for continuing to support Africa Fire Mission’s work! Your generosity and support make our mission possible. It is amazing to see the growth and impact AFM had throughout 2024, and I’m grateful that YOU are a part of our journey!
2024 was an exciting year for our organization! Our teams travelled to Nigeria, Malawi, Zambia, and Kenya and saw amazing results. We introduced exciting new programs, like our Fire Prevention Internship that allowed us to train three firefighter interns and provide training and assessments that impacted over 20,000 children. And, with the help of our partners, we supplied PPE and gear valued at over $1.93 million
We are positively impacting the lives of millions of people. Through in person instruction, virtual training, and other educational resources, our outreach is bigger than ever! With media outreach alone, we reached over 5.5 million people in 2024 – nearly 3 times the amount from 2023! Multiplication is happening, lives are being saved, and people are seeing God’s love through the service of our team.
In 2025, we remain committed to growing the capacity of the fire service in developing communities. As part of this commitment:
• AFM teams are traveling to Africa for several Mission Trips! Teams will visit Malawi, Zambia, and Kenya.
• We are working with our partners around the world to provide Active Bleeding Control programs integrated with Community Health Education.
• New episodes of Fire Safety! with Tochi and José are in active development!
Thank you for joining us as we serve.

Nancy L. Moore, Co-Founder and Executive Director

Train:
We partner with Governments, NGO’s, mission organizations, schools and corporations to provide education and training to firefighters and local communities. We use Community Health Education (CHE) to teach firefighters and community members in developing countries to protect themselves from the dangers of fire.
Empower:
We work to increase the ability of communities in developing countries to respond to disasters and provide relief when disasters occur.
Support:
We provide personal protective equipment and communications tools to fire services throughout developing countries to allow fire departments to operate in a safer and more coordinated manner.
Encourage:
We build the capacity of fire services so that local communities are able to provide sustainable public safety and disaster management services.
Core Values:
+ Partnership + Community Ownership
+ Development + Transformation
+ Sustainability + Advocacy + Innovation

“One of our visions is to see replication not only in other schools but also for the children to go home and talk to their families and neighbors about fire safety… We’ve finished our mission work for this trip. I’ve become a bit obsessed with the numbers. Our final count of learners reached is 19,043. This doesn’t include the adults on staff and teachers that also received our fire safety message. If we were to include everyone we reached with our message this week we are at over 20,000. I’m so proud of this team and I can’t wait to hear about what kind of replication comes from our first internship program… This week has been so impactful for me. We’ve spent so much time in these communities and it gives me so much to reflect and pray on. I’m so blessed to have the opportunity to help carry out this important work.”
