Time to explore the brand new School Programs Website, where you can find videos and activities to learn more about animals and ecosystems of the Adirondacks and challenges to get you to observe your own backyard. TO START: Head to - wildcenter.org/schoolprograms MATERIALS: - Pencil or Pen - Print this sheet or record your discoveries on a separate sheet of paper. - Additional materials - Depend on selected activities LEARN SOMETHING NEW: (Try at least one of the options below) 1 - Click on the “Digital Learning” Image - What are the three categories of activities that you find? Choose and watch one video you find interesting. Write something you learned on the next page. 2 - Click on the “Ways of Knowing: Haudenosaunee Stories and Culture” Image - Watch the video “How the Birds Got Their Names.” What was your favorite part of the story? Write it on the next page. 3 - Head to the “Jr Naturalist” Page. Scroll down to pick a week that sounds interesting to you. Check out the videos and activity sheet for the topic. Did anything surprise you in your research? What did you learn?
