Within the business unit Clay Building Materials Europe, we are offering the following position to support the business unit’s Operations and Engineering team:

Safety Engineer (f/m) Reporting to the Head of Engineering Place of employment: Vienna

Your Tasks: • Group-wide cross-check of existing local standards and initiatives for occupational health and safety and accident prevention • Development of the group-wide safety standard and support of operations and plants in the standard implementation • Execution of safety audits, internal safety trainings and general enhancement of groupwide safety awareness • Consulting of plants in the design, installation and operation of industrial equipment with respect to safety issues • Improvement of central and local occupational health and safety reporting and of the central management system Your Profile: • Engineering background combined with a formation in the field of occupational health and safety, e.g. formation as certified safety expert • Professional experience for many years in the field of occupational health and safety management and accident prevention • Good knowledge of relevant legislation and norms for industrial applications (incl. CE) • Good knowledge of MS-Office • Good analytical and convincing interpersonal skills • Additional formation in the field of fire and environmental protection, dangerous substances, etc. is an advantage • Persuasiveness and ability to motivate others • Willingness to travel frequently • Very good command of German and English, further languages are an advantage We attach great importance to strong willingness to perform and learn, flexibility, very good communication skills and readiness to act on own initiative.
