SoundSense Learn: Machine learning revisited and initial data findings James W. Martin, Jr AuD1, Oliver Townend2
Abstract Artificial intelligence (AI) seems to be appearing everywhere. While AI has many applications, it can also feel like a marketing buzz-word attached to product names or descriptions. This article, by looking at SoundSense Learn, a direct application of machine learning found in the Widex Evoke smartphone app, aims to educate the reader briefly on AI and machine learning. We also look into what benefits an application like SoundSense Learn can bring to both end-user and dispenser. We also look at real life data from the application and discuss how it can help to increase user satisfaction.
