These include the Whole Thinking Retreat, the Whole Measures Training, and a diverse suite of Workshops and targeted engagements to empower environmental and social change leaders to implement the Whole Communities approach on the ground. We are based on a working organic farm in the Mad River Valley in Fayston, Vermont. Our programs draw leaders from across the United States and are offered at our base in Vermont, as well as around the country, throughout the year. We have broad national influence through our alumni and site-based programs across the country. ON DIVERSITY, POWER AND PRIVILEGE: Center for Whole Communities strives to create new models for recognizing and responding to power and privilege dynamics. In all program curricula, we raise awareness about issues of oppression, power and privilege to galvanize change within the environmental and social justice movements. We actively seek alliances with organizations working to overcome present injustices in the structure of land use and land access in this country. We offer full fellowships to remove financial barriers to program participation and make our facilities available to groups working on issues of race, class, power and privilege.
