NEW Behind the Scenes of London Transport Tuesday 20th September 2022 The day begins at the depot, in Acton, which houses the majority of the collection – over 370,000 items - including posters, models, photographs, drawings and uniforms as well as heritage vehicles. Enjoy the nostalgic Discovery Tour and experience years of preserved transport history before we head over to Covent Garden. After free time for lunch, step into the lively exhibitions and galleries of London Transport Museum. The day covers over 200 years - from 19th century horse-drawn buses, to the world’s first underground railway and all the way to the iconic red double-deckers seen today.
