Learn from established book editors and receive individual feedback and peer support through workshops and online tuition. This programme improves skills and expands opportunities for experienced editors already working in publishing. With the focus on two workshops and editing a full manuscript, this programme is designed for participants to study alongside work. Duration 18 weeks, part-time
A wide-ranging introduction to professional editing and proofreading. This part-time online programme covers the principles and practices of editing in print and digital environments. It includes topics such as plain English, grammar and usage, and web editing, and provides a solid base of editorial techniques for public sector and specialist editing roles. A valuable overview for beginning editors, this programme will also benefit editors with some experience and anyone whose work includes writing and editing components.
