ASA Recruitment is Scotland’s largest independent recruitment organisation and a leading provider of quality people. We have been trading since 1970 and have offices in Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Kirkcaldy.

We provide a diverse range of services through specialist divisions. Each division has the remit to forge close links with clients and work appropriately for their sector. Our consultants know their own markets and use that expertise to provide good interviewing, assessment and support for all candidates.

With over 20 years’ experience in the recruitment industry, Mark has a proven track record for placing Director-level candidates across a variety of sectors and industries.

Degree qualified in Business from RGU, and REC Qualified, Mark has a wide network of contacts gained via the founding of Connect UK and participation in a number of professional networking forums.

25 years of customer facing experience has driven Mark to believe that exceptional customer service is the key to success and he is always prepared to go the extra mile for his clients.

A ‘hands on’ approach ensures that the personal touch is always provided enabling strong relationships to be forged with his candidates and clients. Mark believes in a proactive and friendly approach but combines this with a determination to succeed.

Mark gained vast search and select experience whilst working in London for Provide, one of the UK’s leading Executive Search firms and one of the few to be ISO accredited for this service.

Rob is an experienced leader with a demonstrated history of working in executive search and select recruitment for over 25 years.

Highly skilled in making International placements, Rob has sourced talent across the UK, Europe and Africa for SME’s and Global Operators in a variety of different sectors.

Rob builds strong relationships with his clients with his personal approach and his key areas of expertise include working with creative agencies, FinTech companies and Professional Service clients.

Phase 1

Establish search criteria and gather information

• Determine the skills, knowledge and abilities required, offering insight and fresh perspectives where appropriate.

• Gather full details of the company, the role, responsibilities, goals and key challenges of the position as well as the experience, qualifications and competencies required

• Determine the client priorities that will shape the search process.

Determine search strategy

• Conduct targeted research into companies and sectors to find those with relevant skill-sets and qualifications, supplementing our extensive knowledge and networks

• Develop a long list of prospects best qualified for the role, with the goal of providing real options for clients to consider

Phase 2

Attract and evaluate candidates

• Approach potential candidates to gauge their interest in the role, the organisation and career prospects

• Conduct structured interviews with candidates based on the proven skills, knowledge, abilities and aptitudes outlined in the position specification

• Develop a short list of candidates of pre-qualified individuals

Present candidates to clients

• Present candidate to the client providing full overview and discuss each on merit

• Provide supplementary information on the candidate’s achievements and track record

• Provide meaningful insight into past performance and reputation

Phase 3

Selection, interview and appointment

• Facilitate interview process providing feedback to both client and candidates

• Assist in job offer and negotiations

• Communicate regularly with client and candidate during transition

• Periodically follow up with client and candidates post placement

Fees will be payable upon completion of each phase of the assignment.

Additional Services

Contingency Recruitment

Following a client briefing we begin a search, and work within your timeframe to deliver a short list of candidates with relevant skills and experience. A percentage payment is paid upon successful placement. This is a very popular approach within the industry, especially for midlevel roles, and this option provides a great deal of flexibility.

Market Mapping & Analysis/ Precognition

Planning ahead for the future is hard…bidding for work and awaiting the results of the tender, retaining existing staff and a huge variety of changing external market factors.

Market Analysis allows you to retain control over key market intelligence which makes future planning a whole lot easier by identifying market rates, the availability of suitable candidates, increasing the marketability of your organisation amongst your preferred audience and offering unbiased feedback from your target market.

Using state of the art concepts and software we are able to access the passive candidate market increasing their exposure to your organisation.

Bespoke Searches

We are able to work in partnership to create tailor made, bespoke search plans for unique roles with a fee structure that is relevant and cost effective.
