UNITY THE CALM AFTER THE STORM AHIMSA DOBSON PHASE III / III
A colour pallet derrived from the artworks by Zdzisław Bekinski, this print was created into a 100% polyester twill fabric. This fabric was used for the pants and jacket. This fabric is soft, durable and holds its structure. It has a firm element which allows it to hold its shape without creases.
This print was also converted into a 100% polyester splash-proof fabric which is used for the cropped asymmetrical bomber jacket and skirt. This fabric is matte and treated with a permanent water resistant coating. It has a cool touch feel against the body. This fabric is durable as well as lightweight, making it comfortable and practical.

Moving from dystpoia to utopia, The Calm After the Storm reignites the desire for harmony and prosperity. The Calm After the Storm is a continuation from the collections, The Dystopian Dream and Survival of the Richest. It is the final phase of the Unity triad. The Calm After the Storm is a parody of the classic idiom ‘The Calm Before the Storm’. It symbolises the rejuvenation and rebirth of the world.
This ready-to-wear collection is for those who are seeking the oasis bringing peace and mantra (man-mind tra-free ), thus resulting in the healing of the mind, body and soul. They are the phoenix rising from the ashes.
The water flows purity The wind whistles hope The fire burns passion The earth sprouts strength
Unity of the souls
A society of people, selfless, benevolent... Bound together by the elements of the earth
Creating a colour pallet from the artworks by Zdzisław Bekinski, rich hues of red, orange, purple, blue and green symbolise the elements of the earth, the necessity to restore the world and bring peace.

DEMOGRAPHIC
As the world is growing and changing, so do the issues we face. I am the voice for those afraid to speak out about global issues. catering for the ones fighting and exposing societal issues As a designer, I express my personal values through my work using symbolism in my work and creating non-gender specific clothing that is inclusive to everyone. My core values are making a stand for something and/ or raise awareness on different political, societal and environmental issues we face today. These values link to corporate social responsibility and are inclusive of the sustainability of our planet and community importance. My designs incorporate this as I regularly collaborate with local artists as well as local communities and use the works derived from these groups into my designs. I am sustainable as I regularly source fabric that I manipulate myself and practice minimalism. My designs include deep symbolism into what that specific collection is representing. These values are important to me as not only as a person, but as a designer and my work will continue to be the voice people need in order to raise awareness of unfairness and change the world for the better.

As an artist and designer, my inspirations are diverse and subject to who I am as a person. I gain my inspirations from the world around me, designers and artists. As a proactive activist of social, political and environmental issues, I aim to be the voice to influence change. Due to my artistic appreciation, I am a passionate aesthete who appreciates artists and their works from the past, present and future. Inspirations as these are evident in the designs I create. My designs are impacted by these influences which can be seen in my silhouettes, colour pallets and symbolism in which I use to convey messages and ideologies. Through the use of these influences I am able to achieve cohesion and harmony in my collections that create my design signatures such as voluminous silhouettes, use of hardware, fabric manipulations which express my design values and creating non-gender specific clothing that is inclusive to everyone. These values are what separates my designs from other designers as I always include a deeper meaning behind the veil of your mind.
