North Oaks Garden Club Boughs and Bows helpers By Mary Hoyme The North Oaks Garden Club, with the help from many community members met on Nov. 20 to assemble Boughs and Bows for the street signs and entrances throughout North Oaks. Over 270 boughs were assembled and placed on street signs to make our community festive. The Garden Club would like to sincerely thank all those who helped. It was a funfilled day with beautiful weather, allowing the work to be done outside in the sunshine this year. The Garden Club has been decorating our street signs for 50 years. They attach the boughs and bows with wire, load them into their cars with ladders and pliers and attach them to every road sign in the city. Dates to remember: Plant sale meeting, Feb. 3, 10 a.m., Community Room. Plant sale preorder pickup, May 5, Hill Farm. Plant sale, May 7, Hill Farm 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
