Hello and a very warm welcome to the May issue of the Whitby Advertiser, the number one choice for advertising in Whitby and the surrounding district. I hope you will find the following pages both enjoyable and informative whether you are a regular reader, or a visitor or holidaymaker to the area. The year seems to be flying by doesn’t it?! The long winter months are now well behind us and May is here. The Easter holidays saw great crowds descend on Whitby once again despite the unsettled weather, enjoying the town’s pretty harbourside and quaint streets with gift shops galore, not to mention a fantastic choice of fish and chip shops, cafes and restaurants. Looking at the calendar, there will be more busy CALL US weekends ahead with the May Day Bank Holiday early in the month on Monday 7 May and then another long weekend at the end of the month with the Spring Bank Holiday falling on Monday 28 May.
