WJS EDITORIAL Another opener message for the online magazine that is having the format tweaked monthly to look more and more like a professional outfit, though I would say that because I am the one is doing the creative work on it. Though it is not all easy, picking the current font has taken about 4 hours and I’m still convinced it is the right one. This copy contains a racing report from the traditional Good Friday meeting which is a real favourite of mine as it has the added benefit of F2 and Saloon Stock Cars. The entry as usual was great considering the potential fuel issues that had threatened in the weeks leading up to the event. Makes you feel good when the sport you love has so many die-hard teams and drivers that will still continue to put a great show week after week.

News and reports National Hot Rods WQR NORTHAMPTON ROUND 12: 6TH APRIL 2012

The Good Friday meeting at Northampton hosted annually gives the one and only opportunity in England to see National Hot Rods, Brisca F2 and Saloon Stock Cars racing together. Although no championships are being held it is the best domestic meeting of the year. Northampton in the last few years been promoted by Incarace, the Good Friday meeting is slightly different with Autospeed running the show. Autospeed stopped running National Hot Rods at their tracks back in the mid-90’s when the qualifying trail dropped from 48 meeting to the modern 16-17 per year. They kept their foot in the door with an annual meeting at Ringwood initially that transferred to Northampton in recent years (possibly Arena Essex in 2013!). All the familiar names were racing in the hunt for the top 20

No movements in and out of the top 20 though Colin Gomm is only 3 points from safety with Blood poised behind, his clash in the final with Brereton proving costly.
