“I love that Brian and I spent every second of the wedding together,” Natalie says. “We were attached the entire evening.”
Natalie and Brian chose an elegant, neutral color scheme of white and champagne for the day.
During their honeymoon in Europe, Natalie and Brian visited the Acropolis of Athens, where the beautiful marble that made up the pillars in their ceremony space originally hailed from!

ttending colleges in different states, with 455 miles between them, proved to be the ultimate test of the love between Natalie Herrington and Brian Baum. But the couple passed with flying colors! Brian’s transfer from Indiana University Bloomington to Penn State University during their junior year cut the commute to Natalie at Allegheny College in half, and they were able to spend more time together during their final two years before graduation. Three years after that, while on a ski trip in Vail, Colo., Brian proposed to Natalie at the top of a breathtaking, snowy mountain. They wed before 250 loved ones at the Carnegie Museum of Art, Hall of Sculptures. The couple adored the space’s natural lighting and double tier of columns, which were modeled after the Parthenon’s inner sanctuary. Their celebration continued with a reception in the Carnegie Museum of Art, Music Hall, where Brian surprised his bride by being the one to choose their first dance song: “A Drop in the Ocean” by Ron Pope. “As soon as I heard the song, I started to cry,” Natalie says. “The song is significant to us because we were apart our first four years of dating, and the song is about missing someone and never losing hope that you will end up together.” After the sweet moment, the couple recalls looking up at the balcony, where their guests had gathered to watch the first dance. “It was one of our favorite moments, looking up at our family and friends,” Natalie says. “We were so overwhelmed by how many people were there to support us on the special day. It took our breath away.” W Accommodations Wyndham Pittsburgh University Center Hotel • Bridesmaids’ Dresses Bella Bridesmaids • Cake & Catering Culinaire • Ceremony Carnegie Museum of Art, Hall of Sculpture • Entertainment Modern Era Weddings Florals My Garden • Hair Lauren Sullivan • Honeymoon Spain, France, Italy, and Greece • Jewelry Clarissa Boutique Lighting Flip Benack of Benack Sound Productions • Linens Lendable Linens • Makeup Kiss and Makeup • Planner Natalie Berger • Reception Carnegie Museum of Art, Music Hall • Stationery Robin Gordon Stationery • Videographer ShoFilms
