{Season’s greetings} For my last project, I decided to really see how quick I could make a card… I used “Cardinal in Winter” for a super-quick, easily whipped-up, production-line-capable card. I couldn’t believe how quick from start to finish this card was! With a few simple designs and a couple of packs of Whimsy Prints you really could knock through that Christmas list in no time!

Card by Shannah Bartle; Whimsy Stamps Products: “Winter’s Magic” Whimsy Prints, “Holiday Notables 2” and Notables 2 Dies” by Raindrop Echo Designs; Paper: C/S – SU ‘Pear Pizzazz’, CM ‘Dark Blue’; Ink / Colouring Medium: Memento Tuxedo Ink; Embellishments: SU ‘Pear Pizzazz’ Seam Binding, Ranger ‘Stardust’ Stickles, Kaisercraft Rhinestones; Wild Orchid Crafts ' ' Roses, Kaisercraft Pearls; Tools / Other: Cuttlebug and Embossing Mat.

There were no problems at all with either die cutting or trimming the Whimsy Prints card, and the Stickles adhered well despite the smooth feel of the card. Not that I could imagine the need to add to the beautiful coloring on these gorgeous Whimsy Prints, but just in case you wanted to add your own flair, both Copics and Prisma pencils seem to apply well to the Whimsy Prints card. I really do love coloring, and I will always prefer to feel like I’ve added my own personal interpretation of the image on my card. But I’m not very confident in my coloring yet, so I really do spend a lot of time deciding colors and working out where my shading should go. So I have to tell you, with the thought of all those cards to make before Christmas, I can easily see myself grabbing a pack (or two, or three!) of Whimsy Prints to speed up the process! …And for all those other last-minute cards you need for the rest of the year too! ;) © Whimsy Stamps Inspirations Magazine
