South Whidbey vs. Granite Falls at South Whidbey HS, 7:00pm

Bayne hauled in three passes for 57 yards, Smith collected two for 57 and Hesselgrave’s reception and demolition of the Chimacum defense netted 14 yards.

Coupeville opted to get most of its offense on the ground, with Bayne busting out several big runs as he rolled up 171 yards on just 13 carries.

Wiley Hesselgrave was back and the Earth trembled.

Returning to the lineup after missing a game with a hurt shoulder, the Coupeville High School junior linebacker was like a wild beast unleashed Friday, Sept. 19, and it kick-started the overflow crowd and his Wolf teammates.

Two-way terror Hesselgrave tossed in 94 yards on seven runs, with Lathom Kelley (4-47) and Jacob Martin (4-6) also chipping in.

Hitting harder than they had a week before, with Hesselgrave laying down bone-crackin’ licks to set the pace, CHS rolled out to a 27-0 lead after one quarter before strolling home with a 48-24 conference win over visiting Chimacum.

Many of them were also featured in a defensive front which Wolf coach Tony Maggio credited heavily, saying “Our defense was really impressive. They really swarmed to the ball and didn’t give up any big plays, especially in the early going.”

The victory lifted Coupeville to 2-1 overall, 1-0 in Olympic League play.

Vargas and Bayne recovered fumbles, while Chimacum’s repeatedly-flustered QB, who spent most of the game running for dear life, coughed up the ball on at least four other occasions.

It also set up an early-season battle for first place in the new four-team 1A league.

He was saved on those plays when various Cowboy players managed to fall on the ball before being dog-piled by a pack of Wolves.

Port Townsend (2-1, 1-0), which beat Klahowya 22-9, travels to Whidbey Friday, Sept. 26, with a 5:30 kickoff.

The game will be the answer to a trivia question in years to come.

They’ll find a Wolf team waiting for them which ripped off four touchdowns in four minutes against Chimacum.

The unsung heroes were blockers like Martin and the Wolf line — Aaron Wright, Isaac Vargas, Brenden Gilbert, Oscar Liquidano and Matt Shank — who controlled play and blew big holes open for their guys.

Shank and Bayne each netted eight tackles, while Kelley (7), Wright (5), Hesselgrave (4), Gabe Wynn (3), Vargas (3), Gilbert (2), Liquidano (1) and James Vidoni (1) brought the heat, as well.

The Wolf boys’ tennis squad was the first CHS team to play a contest in Coupeville’s new league, dropping a match to Klahowya 5-2, but the football team was the first to ever capture a win.

And, if it’s a milestone win, it might as well be a HUGE win.

After trading punts with the Cowboys, Coupeville broke through on a one-yard quarterback keeper by Joel Walstad with five and a half minutes in the quarter.

SOUTH WHIDBEY VS. CEDAR PARK CHRISTIAN

The score was set up by runs of 13 and 12 yards by Josh Bayne and a quick pass-catch-and-smash-through-threewould-be-tacklers from Walstad to Hesselgrave.

A clash of big-name coaches still seeking their first win at their new jobs came down to the final seconds Saturday, Sept. 20.

Then the dam broke.

An interception with 11 ticks on the clock sealed a 7-3 win for host Cedar Park Christian (Bothell), leaving South Whidbey High School and first-year coach Chris Tormey still seeking that elusive victory.

Jumping on Chimacum errors — a fumble recovery by Bayne and an onside kick snagged by a freewheeling Hesselgrave — the Wolves punched in touchdowns on back-to-back offensive plays.

The first was another 1-yard keeper by Walstad, the second a broken play that turned magical.

Scrambling to evade a would-be sacker, Walstad stayed on his feet just long enough to allow Bayne to break free, hitting the speedy senior in mid-stride for a 33-yard scoring strike.

Coupeville tacked on a two-point conversion, with Walstad lobbing a pass to his tallest target, six-foot-two junior Ryan Griggs, who plucked the ball from the heavens.

Not done, the Wolves forced another fumble recovery and three plays later, Bayne strolled up the middle, virtually untouched, for a five-yard touchdown run.

With shoulders visibly sagging on Chimacum’s sidelines, refs could have called the game after the first 12 minutes and probably not have caused much of a stir.

Instead, they sent both squads back out to the field, and Coupeville just intensified the beat-down they were throwing on the Cowboys.

Bayne scored the third of his four touchdowns on the night on an eight-yard burst to the promised land to kickoff the second quarter.

Later CJ Smith made a sensational catch, going airborne and reaching over two defenders, while being lit up, to haul in a 20-yard bomb from Walstad.

The junior receiver stayed on the ground for several moments after absorbing multiple hits, but popped up under his own power and came off the field shaking his head a bit gingerly.

After that, the second half was all about letting the clock run freely and getting young players such as Cameron Toomey-Stout, Hunter Downes, Mitchell Carroll and Clay Reilly some solid varsity action.

Chimacum, playing for pride, punched in three scores in the second half to make the final score more reasonable, but Coupeville had also long ago taken its foot off the gas pedal.

Walstad, who had thrown for 200+ yards in both of the first two games, settled for more of a game-managing role this time around. He completed six of 11 passes for 128 yards and two touchdowns.

The Eagles replaced Coupeville in the 1A/2A conference when the Wolves jumped to the 1A Olympic League this season.

For a long time, it seemed like neither team would score.

With Cedar Park repeatedly stumbling (fumbling a punt at its own two-yard line, losing another ball inside their own 10) on offense, South Whidbey had multiple chances to punch in a score. But the Falcons stalled out time and again.

Much of the credit goes to an Eagle defense that stepped up each time it had its back pressed against the end zone, turning away the Falcons with repeated goal-line stands.

South Whidbey finally broke through with a field goal in the fourth quarter to take a 3-0 lead.

That held up most of the way, but Cedar Park finally mounted a sustained drive under duress, scoring on a short touchdown pass with less than 40 seconds to play.

The Falcons went to the air in an effort to respond, only to have a pass from quarterback Parker Collins snatched out of the air by Eagle defender Max Milner.

Now stuck in last place in the eight-team conference, South Whidbey will take another crack at getting Tormey’s first win when it hosts Granite Falls Friday, Sept. 26.

After some research, I finally took the leap with my wild bunnies.

Speculation to the wind, I read for several weeks, from the Internet to the Outer Banks, from the library to the aviary, from the who to the zoo.

Every time I vote, and even every time I think of voting, I feel good.

Voting makes me feel connected to those historic, heroic signatures on that faith-filled parchment of Providence on display in our Nation’s capital.

Thanks to the South Whidbey Republican Women for reminding me that it has been way too long since I have said the Pledge of Allegiance in a room full of proud Americans.

Thank God, I remembered the words.

Finally, I was able to determine there was no threat of harm to these cutesters after giving them Angel food cake left over from church.

Football My lady of the night and day wondered aloud during a recent Seahawks loss why there was never anything good to watch on the two major networks who do not broadcast pigskin pulchritude to the masses every Sunday afternoon.

Would it not be that the commercial time and fees for an advertiser would be less costly for one not advertising on an NFL broadcast?

I am not sure I understand that last sentence, so let us please move forward.

The point is that although not everyone likes to watch NFL football every Sunday afternoon on Fox or NBC, those who do will not care much about those who do not.

Occasionally, men may use the BCC feature so the recipients of the communication will not be identified to others.

In preparation, I am dusting off our electric heaters. You probably have some, too.

You know the type. They are the ones that look like the old radiators we fought each other to sit on in the mornings before school.

I still type with two firm forefingers, slamming the fragile keys of my plastic keyboard like it was a 1950 Smith-Corona. Because I had to type firmly enough to get the letters through the nine copies on those 4th Marine Division classified documents, I developed a habit of digital determination.

We had no copy machines at Camp Pendleton in 1969. But, we typing Jarheads all had forefingers firm enough to challenge the thickening thumbs of today’s texting, tweeting teens.

Slam on, Marine!

No wonder many of us have bad backs today.

Polly Tickle Recently, I had the extreme pleasure of emceeing the South Whidbey Republican Women Fall Election Kick-Off at the Useless Bay Country Club.

Men couldn’t care less who finds out first.

From Neil Colburn to long-time Senator Mary Margaret Haugen to Commissioner Helen Price-Johnson to Reece Rose to Ray Gabelein to Curt Gordon to David Anderson to Dolores Cobb to Mike Shelton to Suzanne Sinclair to Bruce Allen to Hal Seligson, and to the many more elected, unelected, known, and almost known, I have enjoyed the political passions and preferences presented by all.

Being able to share dinner and a microphone is a swift way to discover the ins-and-outs of the outs-and-ins.

Being able to look an elected official, or candidate, in the eyes, to ask a question of concern, is still a thrill.

It is, in fact, an honor.

For me, the political process continues to be one of the most incredible creations of humanity. Like them or not, the elected officials we have chosen all have the wherewithal for the whatever.

They have all stepped up to the plate to do the job for which they were selected.

The political process is an attempt to provide a structure which will help solve problems, provide opportunity, and create growth in all

Have you ever noticed how many women send e-mails to one or two persons, but send copies to everyone else?

My suggestion–watch those credit card statements on the Mondays following the games.

From Memorial Day Friday to Labor Day, known as the 100 Deadly Days of Summer when more DUI crashes happen, IDIPIC raised $5,116.

Second Annual PAWZ 5K The Second Annual PAWZ 5K run/walk offers a beautiful course through the sea side village of Langley. The event will be held on Sunday, September 28 and you can register online at www.PawzbytheSea.com This family friendly event allows you to walk or run with two or four legged friends. You don’t have to have a dog to run, you just need to bring your enthusiasm. All participants will receive a T-shirt and goodie bag at the finish line, and dogs will receive a bandana. The course will take you on a circular route through historic downtown Langley, along tree lined back roads, past the Fairgrounds and back along Saratoga Passage bluff with beautiful views of the Sound. The race starts at 9:00am with registration available on-line or on race day beginning at 7:30am.

The kid’s run is offered for those under 10 year old and starts at 10:30am. The short course starts on Second Street, goes down Cascade Avenue to First Street, and finishes back on Second.

The top ten men and women and dog winners will be awarded prizes with random prizes given for feats like most drool, shortest legs, biggest eyes, most active tail, (for the dogs only) and more. Costumes are encouraged. Last year there were dogs in tutus, strollers, and rain slickers, with their two legged partners often dressed to match.

The event is sponsored by Animal Hospital by the Sea owner Jean Dieden and Langley Main Street Association. This year’s race promises to be packed with the serious runners, and the not so serious runners/walkers, who just come to enjoy the great course and other participants.

Organizer, Louise Long, has organized 14 marathons including the Seattle Marathon, See Jane Run and more.

“This is an absolutely wonderful day,” Long said after last year’s first race. “There were lots of runners and dogs, no dog fights and no runner fights.”

The event is a benefit for the 4H Happy Hounds Dog Club and Good Cheer pet food bank.

Brother Dog, Sister Cat and All Creatures Celebrated at St. Mary’s Animal lovers island-wide are welcome to bring their beloved pets to the Pet Blessing at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 207 North Main Street, Coupeville, at 10:30am on Saturday, October 4. The happy event will take place on the grass outside St. Mary’s Mission.

This custom is conducted in remembrance of St. Francis of Assisi’s love for all creatures. The popular saint’s feast day is on the same day as this event. St. Frances wrote a Canticle of the Creatures, an ode to God’s living things. This Christian tradition recognizes that the bond between person and pet is like no other relationship, because the communication between fellow creatures is at its most basic. This very communication between St. Francis and various animals is now legend world-wide, among Christians and non-Christians.

Animals of all kinds are welcome to the blessing when accompanied by their owners. Common sense is strongly advised. Using cages, pet taxis, leashes—or just holding the pet--to secure the animals is encouraged. New Ferry Schedule, Off-Peak Fares Highlight Fall Sailing Season Riders Should Consult New Schedule for Possible Changes Changing foliage and shorter days aren’t the only things Washington State Ferries’ customers can count on every fall. Seasonal service adjustments began Sunday, September 21, and offpeak fares go into effect Wednesday, October 1. Riders on the Fauntleroy/Vashon/Southworth run will also soon make the crossing aboard a larger vessel.

As summer turns into autumn, fewer tourists and weekend passengers ride the ferry. Accordingly, WSF routinely adjusts the sailing schedule and removes the peak-season surcharge to accommodate expected ridership.

This year, WSF also adjusted the three-vessel Fauntleroy/Vashon/Southworth schedule to improve on-time performance and allow more loading and unloading time for a larger, 124-car Issaquah Class vessel. The larger ferry will replace one of the Evergreen State Class vessels on the route in mid-November.

Highlights of the 2014 Fall Sailing Schedule: Anacortes/San Juan Islands: four vessels in service, similar to spring, with an additional 11:40am stop in Shaw.

Anacortes/Sidney, British Columbia: one daily roundtrip sailing via Friday Harbor, down from two.

Fauntleroy/Vashon Island/Southworth: fewer sailings on weekends and minor sailing-time adjustments.

Mukilteo/Clinton: fewer late-night and earlymorning sailings Thursday through Sunday.

Port Townsend/Coupeville: two-boat service continues until Monday, October 13; one-boat service resumes Tuesday, October 14.

Seattle/Bremerton: the 144-car Kaleetan adds more capacity by replacing the 90-car Sealth.

2014 Ebey’s Conference: Discover Ebey’s The Trust Board of Ebey’s Landing National Historical Reserve is pleased to bring back to the Reserve the popular Ebey’s Conference. This year’s theme is Discover Ebey’s: Celebrating an American Cultural Landscape – the history and community of Ebey’s Landing National Historical Reserve.

This year’s conference invites attendees to discover new aspects of the Reserve, with sessions and field trips designed to explore the history of the Reserve, as well as the challenges that continue to be a part of the growth of Central Whidbey. Scheduled for Saturday, October 4, at the Coupeville High School, from 8:00am to 4:00pm, the cost is $40 for the conference with an additional $12 for lunch.

The keynote speaker will be Nancy Nelson of Concord, Massachusetts. For the last 21 years, Ms. Nelson has been the superintendent of Minute Man National Historical Park, sixteen miles west of Boston, Massachusetts. Minute Man NHP commemorates April 19th, 1775, when British regulars in Boston marched on the Patriot arsenal at Concord – an action that precipitated the American Revolution. Over one million visitors stream into this small rural community and landscape annually.

The two historical National Park units – Minute Man and Ebey’s Landing – face many of the same challenges in fulfilling their missions.

During Nelson’s tenure, the park has seen the development of the 800-acre Battle Road Unit of the park, stretching from Lexington to Concord. This project has involved: Constructing the 5-mile Battle Road Trail Rehabilitating a large number of 18th century historic structures Providing for new or improved visitor facilities Rehabilitating the historic agrarian landscape, supporting the return of derelict family farm fields to active agricultural use After the keynote address, conference participants will enjoy two speaker sessions, choosing from three options in each of the two time slots. Annual Poinsettia Sale Brings Cheer, Supporting Music at South Whidbey High School The spirit of the holiday season is beautifully reflected in the brilliant colors of poinsettias and mistletoe being sold by South Whidbey High School Jazz Band, Wind Ensemble and Choir students. This sale raises funds to cover instrument repair, music, scholarships, and make it possible for these talented students to perform at festivals throughout the Northwest and Canada. South Whidbey High School musicians have set an ambitious but achievable goal this year – 100% participation by businesses on the south half of the island, with equally strong support by organizations, clubs, churches and community members. Anyone can buy plants to be donated to the Senior Center or Good Cheer Food Bank. Financial donations are also gratefully accepted.

Trekking Through the World of STEM Three eighth-grade girls were invited by the American Association of University Women Whidbey Island Branch to speak to their members at the home of Linda McNamara Saturday, September 13. What would middle school girls have to say that would be of interest to this group? These girls were sponsored by the branch with a donation of $1,000 each to attend AAUW’s Tech Trek camp in July at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma. There the girls learned about STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) in exciting classes and lab experiments taught by women experienced in those fields. Ninety girls from across Washington were immersed in a world that encouraged and empowered them to think of themselves as future scientists, engineers, mathematicians and computer scientists.

According to Jessica Koeberle, chair of the local AAUW Tech Trek committee, the program was launched at Stanford University in California in 1998 in response to a research study called “Why So Few?” (women in STEM careers). It then spread to Ohio, Oklahoma, Florida, and Alabama. In the past two years, branches in Washington, New Mexico and Oregon have come on board.

The three Whidbey Island girls selected to attend Tech Trek in July were Amara Fulton of Langley Middle School, Hannah Weirich-Benway of Home Connections and Emily Stringer of North Whidbey Middle School. Middle school teachers in STEM subjects nominated 24 students to apply for the program, and the three finalists were chosen on the basis of these nominations plus an essay and an interview by members of the local AAUW branch.

When local columnist Eileen Brown asked “What would be your ultimate ‘dream job’ as a result of a STEM-oriented education?�, Hannah replied “computer programming�. She felt the camp presented her with many possibilities she hadn’t realized existed in the STEM fields.

Her favorite experiments were the computer programming project and another about chemical bonds. Hannah has been invited to speak to a 7th grade science class and is already drumming up excitement among current 7th grade girls about applying for next year’s Tech Trek.

Emily said STEM subjects appealed to her, because one day she would like to become a psychiatrist. Her favorite class at PLU was a chemistry lab where they were asked to determine if yeast was alive. She also enjoyed making soap, building a robot, blood typing in a CSI-type study, and a genetics lab. She, too, was impressed by how many career possibilities there are in the STEM arena.

Amara said her favorite project was the CSI blood typing lab, where the girls were given a fictional case to solve using scientific methodology. She found her other classes in Epidemiology, Genetics, DNA, Robotics, Computer Programming and Geology were interesting and exciting as well. Amara, Emily and Hannah were unanimous about the positive experience of living in a dorm with a roommate for a week and seeing what it was like to live and attend classes on a college campus.

The mission statement of the national organization of AAUW is “to advance equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy and research.� Anyone who has graduated with a two-year degree or more from an accredited institution is welcome to join. NWCAA Draft Permit Focuses on Potential Air Releases from Proposed Shell Crude-Oil Rail Terminal Agency Sets Public Comment Period and Hearing The Northwest Clean Air Agency invites the public to comment on its draft construction permit for the Shell Puget Sound Refinery proposed crude-oil rail unloading terminal.

Public comment period: September 16 to October 16, 2014, by the close of the public hearing. See below about where to send comments.

Public hearing: 6:00pm, October 16, 2014, at the Anacortes Public Library, 1220 10th St., Anacortes. NWCAA will close the hearing after the last person present speaks, or 9:00pm, whichever comes first.

NWCAA’s draft permit focuses on emissions from operation of the rail terminal, and evaluates how the addition of the terminal and different types of crude oil could affect emissions at the refinery. “While we have no authority to address the safety of trains transporting crude oil, public concern about train safety has increased interest in our permits and our work,� said NWCAA Executive Director Mark Asmundson. “We have an opportunity to show people who we are and what we do, and talk about the importance of fair, consistent, and effective permitting.�

Permit Highlights: This permit takes into account the composition of the crude oil the refinery would receive at the terminal to determine emissions and permit limits.

The proposed project would allow the Shell refinery to unload light crude oil, such as Bakken crude, from railcars. It would have the capacity to unload 102 cars a day.

With this project, the refinery could receive up to 40 percent of its crude oil at the rail terminal, replacing oil delivered by ship, but not increasing the total amount of crude oil it processes.

Protect Your Retirement against Market Volatility

As an investor, you’re well aware that, over the short term, the financial markets always move up and down. During your working years, you may feel that you have time to overcome this volatility. And you’d be basing these feelings on actual evidence: the longer the investment period, the greater the tendency of the markets to “smooth out� their performance. But what happens when you retire? Won’t you be more susceptible to market movements?

You may not be as vulnerable as you might think.

In the first place, given our growing awareness of healthier lifestyles, you could easily spend two, or even three, decades in retirement — so your investment time frame isn’t necessarily going to be that compressed.

Nonetheless, it’s still true that time may well be a more important consideration to you during your retirement years, so you may want to be particularly vigilant about taking steps to help smooth out the effects of market volatility. Toward that end, here are a few suggestions: • Allocate your investments among a variety of asset classes. Of course, proper asset allocation is a good investment move at any age, but when you’re retired, you want to be especially careful that you don’t “over-concentrateâ€? your investment dollars among just a few assets. Spreading your money among a range of vehicles — stocks, bonds, certificates of deposit, government securities and so on —can help you avoid taking the full brunt of a downturn that may primarily hit just one type of investment. (Keep in mind, though, that while diversification can help reduce the effects of volatility, it can’t assure a profit or protect against loss.) • Choose investments that have demonstrated solid performance across many market cycles. As you’ve probably heard, “past performance is no guarantee of future results,â€? and this is true. Nonetheless, you can help improve your outlook by owning quality investments. So when investing n stocks, choose those that have actual earnings and a track record of earnings growth. If you invest in fixed-income vehicles, pick those that are considered “investment grade.â€? • Don’t make emotional decisions. At various times during your retirement, you will, in all likelihood, witness some sharp drops in the market.

Try to avoid overreacting to these downturns, which will probably just be normal market “corrections.â€? If you can keep your emotions out of investing, you will be less likely to make moves such as selling quality investments merely because their price is temporarily down. • Don’t try to “timeâ€? the market. You may be tempted to “take advantageâ€? of volatility by looking for opportunities to “buy low and sell high.â€? In theory, this is a fine idea — but, unfortunately, no one can really predict market highs or lows. You’ll probably be better off by consistently investing the same amount of money into the same investments. Over time, this method of investing may result in lower per-share costs. However, as is the case with diversification, this type of “systematicâ€? investing won’t guarantee a profit or protect against loss, and you’ll need to be willing to keep investing when share prices are declining.

It’s probably natural to get somewhat more apprehensive about market volatility during your retirement years. But taking the steps described above can help you navigate the sometimes-choppy waters of the financial world.

CHICKeN LIttLe AND tHe AStrOLOGer by wesley Hallock

We ended last week with a promise to explore why NASA’s boomerang won’t come back, and hinted that the reason may have something to do with the skunk in the Lockheed Skunk Works. Regular readers here may link the NASA boomerang breakdown to the canceled Apollo Moon Project, but what, pray tell, are the Lockheed Skunk Works?

Skunk Works is the former name of a Lockheed Martin research division charged with conducting, in the words of the researchers themselves, “weird science and friggin’ magic,” WSFM. The name derives from a running satire in the Lil’ Abner comic strip in 1943 in which the toxic smell of “skonk oil” coming from a dilapidated factory called the “Skonk Works” killed scores of local residents each year. “Inside man, Big Barnsmell” produced the deadly oil from ingredients that included dead skunks and old shoes.

When a Lockheed engineer and fan of the comic strip answered a ringing phone with, “Skonk Works, inside man Culver speaking,” the name stuck. The spelling was eventually changed to avoid copyright infringement and became, for a time, a trademarked division name, Lockheed Skunk Works®.

Yes, Mrs. Dubious, really. Some people like the smell of skunk.

Lockheed officially abandon the skunk as its logo in 2000 and removed it from the company letterhead.

Yet the trademarked skunk, with its innuendo of something smelly afoot, has hung on, appearing here and there on Lockheed aircraft hangars and the lower right corner of company stationary.

So many are there who like the smell of skunk, the designation “skunk works” or “skunkworks” has spread to become a generic term. Wikipedia defines it as, “A group within an organization given a high degree of autonomy and unhampered by bureaucracy, tasked with working on advanced or secret projects.” Translation: elite insiders doing WSFM with no oversight, no reporting and no accountability for their actions.

Shades of Big Barnsmell. Who are these people?

From a reader who wishes to remain anonymous: Have been enjoying your history updates with Marco Polo, the Zeno Bothers, Piri Ries and Christobol. [Referring to the fact that, at the time of America’s 1492 discovery by Columbus, at least six other known European explorers–all apparent members of some Middle Ages “Secret Map of the Month Club”–were entitled to wear, “America: Been There, Done That” tee-shirts.] Of course all of this is true and you are correct in stating that there are those who are better informed than the rest of us.

As is my karma I have a number of acquaintances whom I refer to as “one-eyed Jacks.” These men are all brilliant and were recruited in high school by third floor Masons who got them scholarships to the best schools where they thrive as teachers, traveling the globe, attending “meetings.” They let me know where they have gone, but always fail to tell me what they do at these get-togethers. When you talk history with these gents they leave the room or make condescending remarks and then leave the room. In short, they lead double lives.

You are never allowed to see the other life; thus, the one-eyed Jack.”

So. The skunk in the skunk works is secrecy. Its malodorous effluvium is everywhere. So thickly does it hang in the air, NASA cannot even launch a Moon rocket through it.

What ultimate historical truth might these odorifer-

The Great Pyramid—its extreme importance made self-evident by its placement on the dollar—originally was a literal “Skonk Work.” A horrid odor drove back the first modern investigators who tried to enter the Queen’s Chamber. This smell and the Pyramid’s extraordinarily precise science and engineering are evidence it functioned as a machine, powered in part by hydrogen gas. The Queen’s Chamber was the probable producer of the gas using smelly hydrogen sulfide.

As a machine the Pyramid was designed to do five things: 1. resonate low-frequency sound 2. channel gravity waves 3. conduct low-level electricity 4. generate and contain plasma gases 5. combine 1-4 and direct the resulting wave energy into a target In summary, the Great Pyramid was almost certainly a war machine, capable of matching the precise frequency wave generated by a given target, amplifying that wave and feeding it back into the target, thereby shattering it as surely as Ella Fitzgerald’s voice shattering a wine glass.

Whatever became of the civilization that could do these things? Before you ask, stand well clear of the exit door. This is a question sure to stampede the one-eyed Jacks.

Inside man Ben Rich, head of Lockheed Skunk Works from 1975 to 1991, was a consummate one-eyed Jack if ever there was one. Yet, Rich did give some clues to the true nature of his organization’s WSFM. Rich is widely quoted as saying, “We already have the means to travel among the stars, but these technologies are locked up in black projects and it would take an act of God to get them out to benefit humanity….Anything you can imagine, we already know how to do.”

OK. Imagine this. An ancient high civilization knew how to tap the infinite energy of the universal field called space. Infinite can mean infinitely good, or infinitely destructive, and these ancients accidentally toppled themselves when they chose the latter. They fell, and as they fell, their final act was to entrust a select few people as guardians of knowledge that might ensure the civilization would someday rise again.

Now imagine that the opponent of this toppled civilization—a tug o’ war requires two—in a similar dire strait did the same thing and for the same reason. It handed off to an elite guard sufficient teachings and history of what happened to enable their race to survive.

And lastly, imagine that the secret societies—for that is what the guardians were and are–after millenniums of duping the masses about the truth of their origins in a once-great civilization, have risen to the point of destroying themselves again in another useless war. Imagine both sides, upon realizing this, abandoning their policy of hiding the ancient world maps and other evidences of our human heritage and going forward into the future together as one.

Multiple scholars have concluded some version of the above scenario, minus the secret societies having come clean with the truth, is exactly the fact. The time has come to make all of it true. Runaway secrets in a free and progressive society stink.
