HISTORY since 1902
OUR STORY Hotel Prinzessin Rupprecht is situated within one of the famous historical buildings in Swakopmund built during the time of German colonialism. With the building being established in 1902, it was used as a hospital until the end of World War One. Subsequently it also operated as a maternity ward, school hostel and crèche.

SWAKOPMUND ACTIVITIES Prinzessin Rupprecht is walking distance to legendary attractions including The Jetty, built in 1905 and when chilled winds blow, head for the museum at the foot of the lighthouse, where you can en enjoy a cup of coee and learn about the town's history. The recently upgraded waterfront aquarium provides an excellent introduction to the cold oshore world of the South Atlantic Ocean. Most impressive is the tunnel through the largest aquarium, which allows close-up views of graceful rays, toothy sharks (you can literally count the teeth!) and other little marine beasties.
