nvironmental sustainability, customer care and attention to safety are the bywords for a stay and tasty break at Starhotels E.c.ho. The same attention to details and to the green philosophy can be found at the “Orto Green Food & Mood by Eataly” restaurant and bar, a green oasis in the heart of the city run by F&DE Group. Here guests can savour mouth-watering dishes from the Mediterranean cuisine prepared with the use of seasonal ingredients and featuring a selection 54 W H E R E M I L A N I S E P T E M B E R 2 020
of organic products from the vegetable garden. The choice of raw materials is never left to chance. The partnership with Eataly, indeed, ensures careful sourcing of ingredients – which all are Slow Food products - and a close working relationship with the producers. From breakfast to aperitivo time, comfortably sat in a dehors overlooking the private garden and a chapel with a porch in Bramante’s style, even the most demanding palates can find what best suits their taste whims. Artisan croissants baked using wheat, rice and corn flour filled with cocoa and IGP hazelnut cream or the three-milk yoghurt made by a small dairy in Piedmont, served with fruit purees and a selection of savoury delicacies are the best way to start one’s day on a high note. Those who are pressed with time but still wish to enjoy a tasty break can indulge in an aperitivo or in a light lunch featuring local ingredients such as Piedmontese Fassona beef, Robiola di Roccaverano cheese or traditional Emilian cured meats.
