Health Screenings at All 13 Schools: We’re excited this spring to be offering health screenings at all 13 schools across the district. You can sign up for the one that best fits your schedule. We already have 138 staff members signed up! This video will show you how to sign up for the screening. Read more here.

● Attention parents of college or high school students! The Operations Department is seeking several hard-working, energetic summer interns to assist with Custodial and Maintenance summer procedures. Flexible start and end dates from May to August. The job will entail some or all of the following: cleaning, painting, moving and arranging furniture in classrooms and offices, grounds maintenance, and other projects as assigned. An experienced custodian will direct your work projects. Work assignments may change and can include all 13 buildings as project needs require

Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and a vehicle to get to each building location They must also be able to lift 50 pounds

Work hours are 6 a m until 2:30 p m , Monday through Friday Pay is $15/hour

If your child is interested in joining the summer Operations team, please have them complete this online application

● Special Permission Required: There will be days that staff will request to use personal days. If you are looking to use a personal day on the following days in May and June, please fill out the personal day request form and send it with the supporting documentation to Bob Gurney in Human Resources as soon as possible.

June: 3

Special permission is required for the use of personal leave day for the first and last five calendar days It is also needed if the personal day is on a day preceding or following a non-attendance day, school holiday, vacation or recess period, or for observance of a recognized religious holiday of the staff member’s faith

● We are celebrating National Assistant Principals Week this week (April 1-5), honoring the unsung heroes in our education system who work tirelessly to bolster teachers, motivate students, support their principal, create a positive learning community, and face the many unpredictable challenges that may fall on their desk. Take some time this week to thank these incredible leaders!

● Solar Eclipse 2024: Another total solar eclipse is coming to North America on April 8! Here is some more information about this spectacular astronomical event! The district has purchased solar eclipse-viewing glasses for all students and staff. They have been distributed to your building secretaries. Happy viewing!
