The Creative Humanizing Project (CHP) is a new non-profit in Victoria, dedicated to creative public safety initiatives and solutions. The three ladies (Brianna Green, Sam Redmond and Audrey Ruether) were inspired to create this organization after volunteering their time in a Federal Prison, they quickly learned the needs of the individuals reintegrating back into the community. CHP has partnered with a local halfway house, Bill Mudge, to host a Art show community fundraiser on March 14th, 2020 at Spaces in Uptown Mall. Shai Thompson, fourth generation on the Saanich Peninsula is inspired everyday by the bountiful beauty nature brings. This woman knows how to wear herself well in any environment from fishing to fashion. She is a role model of what today’s modern renaissance woman looks and acts like, CONFIDENT. Shai’s outgoing personality is contagious, uplifting and her warmth puts you at ease immediately. Intuition and sensitivity towards others has positioned her as a strong leader within the community of Sidney. Voted in as the VP for the local SIdney BIA, she is in her fourth year volunteering to support the betterment of business development. With creative flare she has helped Beacon Services by teaching workshops that motivate youth towards employment. Her book Socially Smart And Savvy is filled with material that supports her fun and engaging educational programs. She is also the “how to become a stylist” teacher at Pacific Design Academy in Victoria. A combination of organizational skills and strong sense of styles led her into educating corporate, individuals and youth on the power of presentation. Now operating her luxury consignment store, House of Lily Koi, she is able to reach more people and share her wealth of information. Shai hosts an annual fundraiser named Our Backyard every Canada long weekend. Last years event raised over $3500 for the local Food Bank.
