To build responsibility as a child I volunteered to take care of my family dog. Even though she was the family's pet I took it upon myself to make sure she was properly fed, watered, and walked. My mother was very proud of my new development as an adolescent. She became very encouraging and would come up with other special chores around the house that I could be relied upon to handle. To some children this would seem like a punishment, but both of my parents were so supportive and persuasive that I looked forward to having the gained accountability. My father instituted honesty and respect as monuments for responsibility. I of course struggled at times with taking care of my dog, and handling some of my other chores. Goal Setting In the first article that I found It stated that Goal Setting is a formal process for personal planning, and is a form of motivation. It is used for a target that a person works for so they can be successful. The process of goal setting is used by many people throughout the world that are trying to and have already achieved something in their lifetime.

Setting goals helps a person remain focused on being successful, stay away from distractions, and will help with motivation. There are two types of goal setting:

Long–term, and Short–term goals. Short–term goals are smaller goals that are "easier" to achieve, and will keep the person motivated and continue to strive for success. In the second article that I found, it stated that Goal Setting is a very powerful technique that can yield strong returns in all areas of your life. Setting goals allows you to decide what you want to do with your life.

This mental view or outlook can both enhance and constrain how we view the world in our own eyes. In the field of psychology and sociology there are many ways to perceive our world in which we live. No one perspective alone can define the world. Each perspective has its own distinctive strengths and blind spots. In class we have discussed different theories and analogies to better understand the complexity of perspectives. Perspectives will both facilitate and constrain perception. The example given in class was Freud and his psychosexual theories. Freud believed that everything we did was a result of our sexual desires. Most of us have heard the term "seeing is believing", but in class we discussed that "believing is seeing". One specific example from the slide show was one image that contained two completely different pictures depending on how you looked at the picture. The five paragraph essay is tremendously valuable to me as a student. I have realized throughout my research that this format is seldom used by professionals; it is mostly used by students like me. I believe I now understand why that is; it seems to be a very clear way of composing a paper. It has a great deal of structure to it, and allows for more consistency and a better flow. Once I have identified my main themes, I start to freewrite by linking them all together. My process of freewriting is similar to the process suggested in the lecture. The concepts in the lecture included the five–paragraph essay, as well as its inner–component: prewriting, drafting, revising, and editing. Prewrtitng is basically all of the actions that are taken during the drafting process. This often involves brainstorming and the collecting of relevant data. It is the first step that was mentioned and is considered to be a gathering process. My freewriting process primarily consists of prewriting, although I mostly rely on my own thought process versus using alternative sources. We learned that drafting is when a person's ideas start forming actual sentences. It is the process of connecting ideas. This is precisely what I do when I freewrite, but prewriting involves more supporting of ideas. Although revision was mentioned in the lecture, I tend to incorporate it into my freewriting without it being a separate process. Revision is basically making the sentences and the structure more succinct. It involves making the writing as clear as possible for the reader. Editing was also covered in the lecture. 4. Financial Perspectives

With an average mean of 4.54 on Book of Accounts/documents, 4.52 on Accounting System, and 4.55 on Financial Statements and Reporting, these findings showed that the respondents strongly agreed with the financial perspectives of MCX Motor Inc. Due to the nurse being so unclear, Juliet thinks that both Romeo and Tybalt both have died. Once things clear up, Juliet figures out that Romeo has killed Tybalt, and her first reaction to this is anger toward Romeo. After things cool down, she feels bad that she has said this, and she takes her words back. Once Juliet learns about the punishment Romeo gets she feels the worst she has ever felt. Romeo was given the sentence of exile, which in the time period meant no connection to people, whatsoever. Due to this Juliet knows that she might never ever see the love of her life, at all. To Juliet this meant that there would be no more Romeo, "Juliet feels that Romeo is no longer her lover, and she can't have him again" (Moffat 139). My dad is also very outgoing and loud, but he has more of a serious side to him. Angie is really fun, but she also has a more relaxed personality. Mahalia is very loud, active, and argumentative. In "Breaking the Five–Paragraph–Theme Barrier" professor Thomas Nunnally describes his experience teaching the popular writing tool. The five–paragraph theme requires an introductory paragraph, three middle paragraphs that each have their own ideas, and a concluding paragraph. Nunnally believes that this writing model should only be used as a writing tool and not the backbone to all essays (Nunnally). I agree with Nunnally's stance, but also think that by the age of sixteen, students should no longer be given the opportunity to rely on the model for writing opportunities. **

It tells you that you only need three supporting details for your thesis and that each do not need to be in depth. Most teachers say that a paragraph is only roughly 4–5 sentences long. Past, present and future are all important to keep in perspective. Looking back and not having regrets is extremely satisfying. Your current situation and your contentment with it are also very important, and having goals and milestones to work toward in the future keeps you motivated and keeps life interesting and challenging.

In this age in which we live, success is generally measured by the amount of money you earn, or the amount of wealth or power or number of promotions you've accumulated. I find that the older I grow, the more I view the people who are most happy and content with their lives as the most successful. Rich, poor or in between, they've tended to treat life as a journey, not a final destination. They took that trip when they were 25 even though they really couldn't afford it, they ordered the $55 bottle of wine with their filet because they knew that even though it was expensive it would enhance the meal so much more than water would. They took a chance on a start–up company, moved to Europe or Asia and experienced things that most people only dream about. If they managed to grow wealthy from the experience, so much the better. As long as moderation with most things is practiced, things won't spin out of control.

The Symbolism Of Fire In Frankenstein

As we look into the novel of frankenstein by author Mary Shelley we see a number of symbols, one in particular was the symbolism of fire. There are many things about fire that makes it very unique in the sense of this story making fire a symbol of destruction, doom and death. We are first introduced to fire later on in the story when the creature makes fire in the woods due to anger. The symbolism of fire in the story is very big especially when fire represented destruction. After the prejudice act towards the creature, the creature commences a fire out of anger and as the novel states "The cottage was quickly enveloped by the flames, which clung to it and licked it with their forked and destroying tongues." This shows how the anger of the creature created a destructive device at the tips of his hands, fire being the destructive tool used.
