I believe in Traditional Marriage as God's design and intention for humanity but that does not make me Homophobic
Church, it's time to step up and face our responsibility to preach the Gospel, baptise the penitent, and disciple new believers. It's also time to step up and present Holy Spirit gifts as part of everyday living. He is our Helper and our friend. He loves nothing more than to demonstrate God's power and goodness. His love for every man, woman, and child is absolute. He hates not a single one of us, but he does hate our sin. That's why Jesus came in the first place.
TRACY & Ray Evans celebrated their 30th Wedding Anniversary by conducting a renewal of vows ceremony at the Cardwell RSL on Saturday, September 3, 2022.

“Vanity of vanities,” says the Preacher Vanity of vanities! All [that is done without God’s guidance] is vanity [futile, meaningless - a wisp of smoke, a vapor that vanishes, merely chasing the wind].

I love what, and who, God loves. I believe the whole canon of scripture - that means I believe the Bible is the inerrant Word of God, and I accept it because He inspired it, and God does not lie. The Church must no longer espouse the many unbiblical principles and views currently prevalent in many churches but which go against every principle of godly living. Political Correctness, aka intolerance of any non-liberal view, must be defeated or ignored whatever the cost. Biblical truth and principles must be taught whatever the cost and persecution. Peter and John, in Acts 4:19, asked, "Which is right in God's eyes, to obey Him, or to obey man?" Yes, we are to obey the law of the land - insofar as it doesn't compromise the law of God.
I believe Jesus is the Son of God and that salvation is only found in him but that does not make me Islamophobic.
It is time for the Church to unite on these core values. I hate to say this, but the separation of wheat and tales will first divide the Church, then Christians, then families - brother, sister, mother, and father. The Bible tells us all this! It's not new!
All because the Church does not accept all of God's Word and will not and cannot receive Holy Spirit and the gifts He brings for us. The only reason His gifts are 'strange fire' is because, to some, they are new and therefore strange and because they go against everything they have been taught and know!
It's time to move into maturity and accept ALL of God's Word - otherwise, revival will pass some of us by!!!

Church, we cannot cherry-pick those bits of the Bible we want to believe! Either the Bible is God's Word, or it's not! There is no halfway; no compulsory bits; no bits that are optional; and no bits that just fill up the page with writings that can be ignored! There is nothing false in the Bible, either! Some things are sins, no matter what spin we put on them. Some things are abhorrent to God no matter how much we deny, protest against, or even persecute those who preach them.
Many are witnessing the transforming power of God’s Spirit through practicing the Ministry of Blessing. Miraculous stories of hope, healing and restoration are being released through an army of ordinary people! Come and learn how to release Heaven's purposes to earth, through a lifestyle of prayer and blessing that transforms lives and communities. Accepting the Gospel in its Entirety WHY does the Church shy away from gifts of the Spirit? Some say they died out with the apostles and anything we see now is 'strange fire' from the devil - try telling that to someone who's just received their miracle. Some only allow certain gifts to operate - tongues is OK, healing is questioned as it may offer false hope, prophecy is only permitted if Pastor 'approves' what is being given, and don't even mention deliverance! Finally, some only admit there is a Holy Spirit because He's part of the Trinity; otherwise, He is completely ignored.

Hinchinbrook Local Businesswoman Amy Aquilini wins National Award

Onwards and Upwards!"
SARI RUSSO AMY Aquilini, the founder of Aquo Online, has won the 2022 Ausmumpreneur Awards in the Disabled Business Excellence and the Women's Business School category. Amy shared how she is currently feeling, after she travelled to Sydney last weekend to participate in the Gala Dinner awards night. "I am so grateful that the AusMumpreneur community has become such a major part of my life. I finally feel truly accepted for the subtle as a sledgehammer female that I am, and to be awarded a place in the AusMumpreneur Awards is nothing short of AH-MAZING!
Spotto57 kicked up plenty of smoke on the burnout pad.
Cassowary Coast Regional Council was a proud partner of this year’s inaugural Innisfail Autofest, held on August 26 - 27, which boasted one of the largest pads in Queensland. With the weather forecast of rainfall on Sunday, after much discussion, the scheduled three-day event was compacted into two days. Members of Far North Queensland Motor Sports Club (Cairns and Tablelands), Fat Bastards Car Club and NQ Drift participated with car lovers coming from as far as Central New South Wales. The Autofest Series was established in Shepparton, Victoria, by a group of motoring enthusiasts in 1990 to benefit the region’s clubs and motorsport lovers. It quickly grew in popularity to where it is today as one of the largest Motorsport Series of its kind in Australia.Theseries proved to be a considerable boost to the localEventseconomies.included Autokana, Go to Whoa, Grab A Flag, Heads Up Roll Racing, Autokana, Show N Shine Judging, and the winner takes all Burnout Championships.Duetotheinclement weather, the street cruise and display in town did not take place. The event is open to all things automotive, including street machines, hot rods, classics, muscle cars, motorcycles, trucks, and vintage/veteran. Event organisers wanted to thank Cassowary Coast Regional Council, all locals who offered help, support, sponsorship and/or volunteered their services, Rotary Club of Innisfail-Fitzgerald, Mundoo State School, Cowley Beach Rural Fire Brigade members, first aid volunteers, the Autofest team, all those who attended and made it a memorable event. They are looking forward to working with everyone to make Innisfail Autofest a major annual event for years to come. After the inaugural Innisfail Autofest event, it will head to Murray Bridge, South Australia, from October 21 - 22, before returning to where it all began 29 years ago in Victoria for the Springnats at Shepparton Showgrounds from November 25 - 27.

The Women's Business School presents the AusMumpreneur Awards. They recognise and celebrate Australian mum's achievements and outstanding success in business excellence, product development, customer service and digital innovation. The awards are designed to recognise the growing number of women who successfully balance motherhood and business in a way that suits their life and family. Amy has chosen to turn her pain into power. She has achieved a lot since she survived a horrific quadbike accident in 2013 that left her with a Traumatic Brain Injury and limited function in her right arm. This did not hold Amy back from the many achievements she has taken upon herself to conquer since her life changed forever. Amy's inspiration for starting a business came when she realised how powerful her comeback journey is and how it could be a survival guide for others. "I was kept on this earth to show others that you can create the life you want to live on your own terms – regardless of your circumstances." Amy is the newly published author of her memoir STRONG, available on her website, www.aquoonline. com.au. She was chosen to share her story at the Women of Achievement in Her Shoes Event held earlier this year in Townsville, North Queensland. It can be challenging to be a successful businesswoman whilst raising a family, and Amy gives this advice to others thinking about starting their enterprise. "Just go for it! I started building Aquo Online five years ago, and I'm so glad I made the decision because it has improved my quality of life immensely. It doesn't matter if you don't know certain things, it will be the greatest learning experience of your life, and along the way, there will always be people willing to give you a hand up; you just have to be brave enough to ask the question – the worst thing anyone could say is 'no' but what if they say 'yes'?

TEN ladies across the Cassowary Coast region recently attended a morning hosted by the Innisfail Breast Cancer Support Group at a private residence to assist women who have had a mastectomy with the fitting of specialised bras and prostheses.

Division three councillor, Trudy Tschui, said the draft concept designs amplify the beauty of the region, weaving in elements of the natural environment through seamless design.
The TYC is a great place for ALL young people in our community; it doesn’t matter your cultural background or gender. The TYC exists for all young people aged 10 –17yrs.Ifyou would like any more information on the TYC or its programs, please contact Tegan on 0499 205 753 or email tegan@tullysupportcentre.com.au or find the TYC on VolunteersFacebook.
The group received a generous donation of $251 from the Paradise Run event at Mission Beach and is extremely appreciative to Chery Dunkerton for her ongoing financial support, who in the past 12 months has raised over $1,300 for IBCSG from her plant sales at Polly’s Corner, Garradunga. Dunkerton is exceptionally grateful to her husband Ian, all those who have donated pots and plants and always welcomes donations of bigger pot plants (4.5L, 14L and 18L sizes).
The CSRG will provide a representative voice to Council throughout the design and construction phases of the project.
The TYC relies on volunteers to extend opening hours and provide activities for young people. If you love being around kids, are a great cook, love art and craft or sports, or would just like to make a positive contribution to the lives of young people, contact Tegan.

David was not even invited to his own anointing ceremony. He was out looking after the sheep. ‘Do not consider his appearance or his height for I have rejected him (Eliab the eldest brother) the Lord does not look at the things people look at, people look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart’ 1 Samuel 16:7 Jesse and Samuel were not able to make the choice themselves but needed God’s wisdom. Both believed the eldest son would be the most suitable, but they were looking at the outward appearance, but God sees the heart. Suppose things in your heart need healing, then confess them to God. He can already see them, so there is no point hiding them.

Allow God to heal your heart deeply
I often notice in others, and I am guilty of this myself, that as Christians, we can get a bit religious in our behaviour and still do the ‘Godly thing’ even though our heart isn’t in it.
Every year, the bike show raises money for charity organisations. This year, $1,273 was raised through a gold coin donation upon entry for a local man diagnosed with bone cancer.
The family event, which aimed at portraying the biking community positively, featured a BBQ, solo acoustic music by Carinda Christie until late and camping facilities for those who wished to stay overnight.

When you think of David’s journey to becoming King, it is essential to remember that God is very clear about why he chose David. God chose him because of his heart. Even though David’s father Jesse decided to bring David’s older brothers before the Prophet Samuel, his brothers were not chosen by God as he saw into their hearts and did not believe they had the hearts of a King.

The property that is being used to produce the noise
Do not confuse this with Council bylaws related to noise.
Excessive noise can be reported to police, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and once reported will be investigated by police.
If the police are reasonably satisfied the noise is excessive in the circumstances police have the power to enter the premises and give the person responsible for the noise a noise abatement direction.

The noise abatement direction will direct the person to immediately stop the excessive noise and to cease making ‘any’ excessive noise for 96 hours after the direction is given. What if the excessive noise continues?
Excessive noise from amplified music, motors, generators and guests is the number one reason why police are called to an address where excess noise is being made.
Excess Noise and your responsibilities
• Keep music indoors and move guests inside as the night gets late.
• Make sure that your sound system speakers are not facing directly towards a neighbour.
And excessive noise continues within the noise abatement period. Police may, issue the person responsible for the excessive noise an on-the-spot fine or a notice to appear in court.
If police have been called to your property because of excessive noise and issued you with a noise abatement direction.
Handy hints to avoid getting a noise abatement direction•Let your neighbours know about your party in advance, as this may reduce concerns about parking or noise later.
The below information sets out what you need to know about noise abatement directions and some handy hints! Noise abatement direction
maybe remove, lock away or render inoperable.
It does not matter that the noise being made is not at the same level or of the same nature as the excessive noise for which the original noise abatement direction was originally given.
The seized property can be collected from police once the noise abatement period has expired.

• Turning down bass controls or turning off subwoofers can help to control noise levels.

Caterina Cook defeated Joan Atkinson 25 -16, whilst Dell Steve defeated Dianne Wheeler 25 - 6. Next week, Dell Steve will play Diana O'Brien.
This week, Innisfail Ladies gathered for lunch at Brothers Leagues Club, Innisfail to farewell long-term member Pam Anderson who is moving to Atherton.

Louise Hoskins, Dell Steve and Bev Bandiera had two wins, defeating Sue Morrison, Daphne Kirkman and Dian Catelan 10 - 6 and a win over Maisie Smith, Bev Bandiera and Jan Dunn 5 - 3.
Another round of the Three Bowl Pairs Championship competition played out, which saw Ann Rule and Joan Atkinson win a close game against Jan Edgerton and Caterina Cook 20 - 17.
THE Rugby league world lost another giant of yesteryear with the recent passing of former Qld and Australian captain Barry Muir. Barry passed away after a long illness; at 84, he had packed a lot into life! Although small in stature, as halfbacks were back in the day, Barry was a ferocious competitor and passionate about all things Queensland.
By 1968 he had played 11 seasons with Brisbane Wests, represented Qld 26 times, made 2 Kangaroo tours, a world cup tour to the UK, and played 22 tests for Australia. After a difficult 1968, he basically had a year out of the game before making a comeback in 1970 as a NorthMovingQueenslander!northtoplay in Ayr for the 1970 season, he was named captain of the NQ side to play combined Brisbane at Lang Park in Brisbane. Legend has it he received a rousing welcome from the Lang park crowd when running out in his NQ jersey! After retiring as a player, Barry turned to coaching and, in 1974, took on the Qld coaching role.

In 1960 Barry was named Australian captain for one test and, in so doing, became only the 6th Queenslander to captain Australia up to that time.
This was the era before the state of origin when players were picked on a residential basis, and the 1973 season was a difficult one for Qld; although we had a good side, we lost 3-0 to NSW. Barry took on the challenge, and in 1974 Qld drew two games and lost one against NSW, then in 1975 we only lost the series decider by 1 point! During this time, Barry devised the nickname “Cockroaches” for NSW. In 1979 he went bush again to coach Biloela before moving back to Brisbane to coach Brisbane Norths in theHe1980s.rounded out his remarkable career in the game by returning to his old club Wests as coach in 1989, where one of his players was former Tully resident Shane Fitzgerald. Just weeks before he passed away, Barry was named as halfback in the Brisbane rugby league team of the century (1922 -87). His love for the Qld jersey never waned!

ASK any footy player in North Qld which month is the most memorable, and your answer will always be September. For any league lovers who live and breathe the game, it doesn't matter what age you are because playing, especially winning a Grand Final, is like nothing else in life. Ok, the footy tragic part comes out in me when these last games come along, but ask any Premiership winner, would he choose a date with his partner or winning the flag? Sure, I'll get into trouble for saying this, but holding the trophy will far outweigh getting the bill for Withdinner.thatsaid and me spending the next month on the couch, the Tully Tigers Junior Rugby League teams of under 16s and under 13s will be preparing for the biggest game of their lives. When I finally caught up with coach Will, who was sounding more like my footy soul mate, his message was simple and straight to the point for the big dance" I reminded the players that not many people get this chance, so you have to take it with both hands. I just want them to enjoy it, they deserveHearingthis".Will talking took me back, and you can understand his love of the game, "I have to thank the parents and staff of our team; they have been our backbone. They're ready as they could be; bring SaturdayEquallyon."nervous and enthusiastic was the legendary president and premiership-winning coach Anthony Emmi, who reminded me of our past, "How good is Grand Final week? We are ready as we will ever be. If we play how we did on the weekend, then we're a chance. Hopefully they enjoy this moment in their lives."Itis an outstanding achievement for a town the size of Tully that we have two teams in the Grand Final with ten teams is unbelievable. The coaches and staff behind the scenes who help bring and develop players for our club are an achievement. The games kick-off at 9 am at Mann St, Jones Park Cairns, in what is an action-packed day of footy fever.

My last thanks will be to the unbelievable Cherie Jenkins. As I walked into the hall at St Clare's, I was greeted by an old friend on display, the portrait that was done of me by the fabulous Christine Jenkins. It happened many moons ago as I was in nappies with the loyal dog Sasha. As old friends do when they are reunited, we shed a tear, said our goodbyes, and hoped to see each other soon, instead of the six years since I'd last seen the artwork last. Thank you, Jenkins family.

Tully State School held our biannual Multicultural Day, and let me tell you, that was one of the highlights of the year. St Clare's had a special dance with many high school students involved to showcase the local rich Torres Strait Islander culture. Tully State High School also held an event full of dancing, painting and food. It was the highlight for many community members when they attended. Great work to Cassandra and her staff. Keep up the great work.

Providing we get the predicted light winds, the fishing should be excellent during the lead-up to the full moon on Saturday.
I consider the next 12 weeks to be the best fishing period for the year, especially later in September through to the end of November.
JOHNSTONE RIVER
This same high tide will also offer opportunities to fish for Barra and Jacks along the edges of the mangroves lining the shallow flats of the Hinchinbrook channel or Missionary bay. This weekend the Tinaroo Barra Tournament is being held; with the tournament coinciding with the full moon, anglers should experience some great fishing. Don`t forget you need a freshwater impoundment permit to fishAccessTinaroo.to boat ramps in the coastal creeks will be almost impossible around the bottom of the tide.

The Spotty Mackerel will be gone; however, the School and Spanish Mackerel will still be around. I find the larger Spanish move in close around the islands. I usually get my more prominent Spaniards at this time of year. Try floating live baits or troll the ever-reliable ribbon fish for the best results. I like the hour before the early morning high tide.
The School Mackerel can generally be caught anywhere from the rubble patches close to shore or right out to the deeper water wrecks and rubble patches on the eastern side of the shipping channel.
THE wind and rain dropped off on Saturday morning, allowing boats to travel more comfortably around the sheltered coastal waters. I was fishing a Fly fishing competition run out of Lucinda. Fifty boats were competing, so you could get a good idea of how the area was fishing. The fishing was pretty tough on Friday and Saturday; however, the conditions must have stabilised by Sunday as the fishing improved dramatically.Mymanager, Derek Maynard and partner in crime, Tony Mossop, managed 16 good fish, a mixture of Barramundi to 68cm. and Mangrove Jacks to 47cm. A great morning fishing by anyone’s standards. The boys used a mix of hard-bodied lures and soft plastics. Suspending lures such as the Jackal Squirrel and Jackson Joker were particularly effective. The new Cast Prodigy was the stand-out soft plastic.
Good Fishing Roly Newton Tackle World Tully Derek Maynard with a very solid Jack from Hinchinbrook that ate the new Rapala Shad Rap Elite lure. Daniel Colombini making the most of the good weather last Sunday with this nice barra.

The crabbing also improved through the weekend as run in the tide became more significant. Most boats managed to get a couple of decent bucks.
Either side of the mid-afternoon low tide will offer opportunities to fish for Barra and Jacks in the rivers. It will only be a short session; fish the 2 to 3-hour window that occurs as the run in the tide slows around the tide change.Either side of the morning high tide is ideal for fishing for Grunter in the coastal creeks or the drop-offs along the Hinchinbrook flats.
It’s great to see the summer species turning up in numbers even though water temperatures are still relatively low.
SEPTEMBERHULLHEADSSEPTEMBER

The blue water options were out last weekend, and the winds did drop off; however, it would have still been very uncomfortable for the average boat.
