REPUBLIC — The state Deparment of Fish and Wildlife killed another wolf occupying the Old Profanity Territory following confirmation of six new depredation incidents. An agency marksman shot and killed the adult female member of the wolf pack in the Kettle River Range of Ferry County, the department reported Sept. 28. Officials said they confirmed six more depredation incidents since the removal of a young male pup Sept. 16, bringing the packs total number of confirmed depredations to 12. The wolf killed Sept. 28 is believed to be a breeding female, officials said.
