We The Studios, LIFESTYLE
As the CEO and founder of We The Studios, I am driven by a deep conviction in the power of storytelling and its ability to shape culture. My faith in Jesus is the foundation of everything I do and serves as my compass as I navigate the world of entertainment. With 17 years of experience in Hollywood, I began to recognize a glaring void in the media landscape: the absence of compelling, familyfriendly entertainment that resonates with conservative values. While there’s no shortage of content centered on politics or faith-based messaging, there’s very little that simply entertains while honoring the values so many of us hold dear
As a mother of 4 two of whom are young sons, I became increasingly aware of what families are being fed through modern programming. Too often, I saw parents portrayed as clueless and children depicted as the wisest in the room. I realized this wasn’t just bad writing it was reshaping our children’s understanding of family, respect, and truth
That realization led to the birth of We The Studios a streaming platform designed for “normal people,” where families can find high-quality programming that reflects our beliefs and reinforces the values we live by.
From day one, our mission has been to tell the stories of incredible families and everyday heroes, creating content that not only entertains but also uplifts and inspires.
This is a family-run operation in every sense of the word. My sons, ages seven and eleven, are an integral part of our creative process, offering feedback and even participating in production. My husband, Curtis, plays a vital role as well Together, we are building something that we believe will impact generations.
At a time when viewers often don’t know who’s behind the content they consume, I want to be fully transparent. I am the one making the decisions about what stories get told, who appears on our platform, and the kind of world we’re shaping through our work My ultimate legacy will be the kind of men my sons grow up to be, but through We The Studios, I hope to leave a broader legacy one that shifts the media landscape toward truth, goodness, and beauty.
I grew up in a heavily Italian, working-class suburb called Elmwood Park, Illinois just outside of Chicago. It was a small town, only a few square miles wide, where everyone knew each other. People used to ask, “What side of the tracks are you from?” Trains were a constant presence in my childhood, and getting stuck by them on the way to school or practice became a part of life. I developed a strange respect for them strong, powerful, unmoving. Looking back, maybe that’s how I wanted to be, too.
Summers were everything to me. I lived for those precious hundred days of heat and freedom. My friends and I would slather on baby oil mixed with iodine (a terrible idea, I know now!) and lay out on a tinfoil mat, trying to get the perfect tan My grandmother had a pool, and I spent as much time there as I possibly could. Occasionally, we’d make it to the beach in Chicago, but I never liked it crowded, cold, just not my scene. Even back then, I knew I belonged in a real sunny state with real beaches. That pull to somewhere warmer never left me
As for role models, they weren’t typical I was captivated by supermodels like Kate Moss there was something about her look, that waif-like beauty, that totally drew me in. Jamie King was another one I admired, and of course Cindy Crawford being from a small town in Illinois herself, she made the impossible feel achievable I looked up to people who came from nowhere and made a name for themselves somewhere.
We didn’t have cable growing up, so I wasn’t immersed in pop culture like a lot of my peers. No MTV, no concert-going, no music festivals. Honestly, I think that was a blessing. It gave me space to develop my own tastes and instincts without being overly influenced. I spent a lot of time painting over and over again, on the same canvas or on my bedroom walls I was always creating, always imagining I even remember customizing items I found, turning them into one-of-akind pieces. Creativity was my outlet. It still is.
Funny enough, I always liked Donald Trump. I knew who he was from a young age, even read his book as a kid I admired his confidence and took an interest in his family, especially his kids. When my husband and I started having children, I remember telling him, “Let’s pay attention to what Trump did his kids turned out great.” That might sound unexpected, but I was drawn to people who built dynasties families, brands, legacies.
My mom’s liberal friend babysat me and choppedallmyhairoffin3 grade rd
From a young age, I was captivated by modeling and the world of fashion. While my peers were flipping through Teen Beat, I was studying the pages of W Magazine, completely drawn in by the artistry and elegance. Competing in a pageant at 16 was a formative experience it gave me my first taste of the industry I would one day call home Still, unlike many of my classmates who had their futures mapped out with in-state colleges, I didn’t have a clear plan. But I did have a strong sense that I was meant for something different.
With family in Los Angeles and an aching desire to break free from the confines of my hometown of Elmwood Park, Illinois, I packed my bags and moved west at 18.
What happened next was serendipity. I landed a job accidentally, really at a casting studio that was still under renovation. The founder hired me on the spot as an assistant, despite the fact that I had no experience. I was green, but eager. He suggested I use my middle name as my last name for my business card, and something about that small shift gave me a new sense of identity. From that moment, I fell in love with the business.
That studio, Castaway Studios, became my training ground. Its founder was an eccentric but brilliant man who saw potential in me and promoted me to general manager within a few years. I suddenly found myself overseeing veteran professionals who had been in the business longer than I’d been alive. It was there I learned one of the most important lessons of my career: background and connections don’t determine your success your work ethic does. I showed up, I worked hard, and someone noticed.
Navigating the industry as a woman without connections wasn’t easy. I wasn’t the stereotypical beauty average height, average looks but I learned how to carry myself with confidence A firm handshake, steady eye contact, clear boundaries. While others may have dealt with inappropriate behavior, I made it clear that I was not someone to mess with. I earned my place by keeping my word and holding my ground, and over time, that reputation became my armor.
My first job couldn’t have been further from where I eventually landed I was a bathroom attendant at the Oak Park Country Club, making sure the facilities were spotless for wedding parties. It was humble, hard work. And at the time, I didn’t want that life But looking back, I see the thread: even then, I cared about showing up with excellence.
In those early years, my dream man was Dan Conner from "Roseanne " a hardworking, blue-collar dad who deeply loved his family. They didn’t have much, but their home was full of warmth and laughter. Growing up in an apartment, I longed for that kind of house a place full of love, stability, and belonging.
As I matured, my sense of self-worth grew and so did my ambitions. I began to understand that knowing my value was the key to unlocking my potential. That realization changed everything.
Now, with We The Studios, I’ve created something I once could only dream of: a platform that tells honest, beautiful, family-centered stories. We’re redefining entertainment for people who’ve long felt unseen. And we’re just getting started
The name itself came to me during a quiet moment of reflection. I was in the pool with my husband, and I noticed the tattoo on his arm: We the People. In that instant, it all clicked. Our studio would be called We The Studios. Inspired by the founding documents of our nation, the name serves as a daily reminder of our commitment to foundational truths freedom, faith, family, and integrity.
But this isn’t just my professional mission it’s a family affair. My children are watching me build this dream from the ground up, and they’re not just observers they’re part of it. They’ve made sacrifices, offered ideas, and even joined me on set My mom moved across state lines just to help with childcare, proving that this vision truly has our entire family's heart behind it.
As the Founder & CEO of We The Studios, I saw a clear and urgent need for a different kind of media platform one that puts families first and reflects the values so many of us hold dear but rarely see represented on screen.
What we’re building isn’t just a studio it’s a lifestyle. It’s bold. It’s hard-working. It’s grounded in faith and fueled by purpose. We The Studios is the embodiment of our belief that entertainment can be both excellent and edifying that content can reflect our culture without compromising our convictions This is more than a job. It’s a calling. And I believe we’re just getting started.
One of the most unforgettable moments of my journey with We The Studios was our official launch party When we first started, we had no idea where this path would lead if we’d even get to the point of launching a brand, let alone building a full-blown studio. It was a leap of faith in every sense.
But on July 30, 2024, I stood in front of a room full of incredible people the same people I had been privileged to create shows with, to build with, to dream with. With my husband by my side, I spoke to them from my heart. That night was electric. It felt real. It felt right. It was powerful.
That moment marked more than a milestone it was proof. Proof that with faith, grit, and community, what once seemed nearly impossible was now unfolding in front of our eyes. It was the beginning of many more moments like it: moments of impact, of bold storytelling, of standing in front of rooms filled with people who believe in what we’re building
That launch party wasn’t just the start of a brand it was the start of a movement. And I’ll cherish it forever.
My role within this movement has evolved in ways I never anticipated. What I’ve come to realize is that, at times, the conservative space can be resistant to uplifting others especially new voices or organizations Because of that, I’ve stopped trying to fit neatly into that box, I’ve stood up to some big names that will cringe at our success. Maybe one day I will have my Candace moment and tell you all about them.
I don’t primarily identify as a conservative figure. I am a media entrepreneur. More importantly, I am a child of God.
At We The Studios, our goal is to create entertaining, highquality content that resonates with families yes, rooted in values often labeled as conservative, but not confined to any single movement We’re not here to seek the approval or endorsement of any group Truthfully, the political world can be incredibly cutthroat, and I’ve found more peace and purpose by simply staying in my lane.
If I could give one piece of advice to others trying to carve out their path in this space, it would be this: keep your head down, do what you do best, and don’t chase validation. In my experience, some of the worst advice I ever got came from people I thought had it all figured out. But no one knows your calling like God does.
So, whether you're starting a business, a marriage, or a family lean into Him. Let God be your compass. He has never failed me, especially in the moments where people have.
My path forward is clear: I am on a mission to grow We The Studios into a trusted, recognizable brand in both literature and streaming. A place where families can turn for content that honors their values, respects children, and stands unapologetically against indoctrination.
We are committed to producing wholesome, high-quality entertainment stories with heart, depth, and excellence. Content you can trust. Content you can proudly share with your children.
