AQUATIC FEATURES

Moussa Group/Credit Union Leisure Pool

If you’re looking for a warmer pool with more features, our leisure pool is the one for you! It includes the Credit Union lazy river, water bucket features, and a zero entry tots play area!

Wetaskiwin Co-op Competition Pool

Our 6 lane, 25m competition pool sits at 28° C, which makes it the perfect pool for lane swimming, swim competitions, diving, and more!

DENHAM FORD HOT TUB

The Denham Ford Hot Tub is the perfect place to relax after any swim or workout. It features sloped entry, plenty of seating, and has many water jets.

WATERSLIDES

Looking to make a splash? Slide down our blue Russell & Sharalee Crawford open waterslide, or zip down the red Supreme International enclosed waterslide.

SIRRS LLP STEAM ROOM

Did you know steam rooms can help improve circulation by opening up your airways? The SIRRS LLP Steam Room is the perfect place to relax after any swim or workout.

The Fitness Centre is unattended. Our front desk staff are happy to assist and answer any questions.

The minimum age to use the Fitness Centre is 14 years old.

Anyone under 16 years of age is required to be supervised by an adult 18 years or older.

Here at the Manluk Aquatics and Fitness Centre, we provide plenty of membership options for everyone! Whether you’re looking to enjoy the pool, do a gym workout or a bit of both, memberships are a great choice for anyone looking to enjoy the facility. Best of all your membership provides you access to the whole facility all day long.

Children under the age of 8 must be actively supervised and remain within arm’s reach at all times of a caregiver who is at least 16 years old.

Many of the playgrounds in the city of Wetaskiwin are beyond their lifespan and are no longer safe. The City of Wetaskiwin has a plan to renovate and replace the playgrounds over time, as budget and community engagement allows.

This is just the first part of the community consultation process. As the planning progresses, there will be additional opportunities to provide input into the concept, design, and implementation of the project.

Thank you for sharing your ideas, we look forward to collaborating with you to make Wetaskiwin's playgrounds fun for ALL ages and stages!

Free 10–15 minute session

The Manluk Aquatic Centre offers a free 10–15 minute swim evaluation by a certified instructor, if you are unsure of what level to register your swimmer in.

Love Your Parks & Green Spaces

Go for a stroll in your neighbourhood or local park. Go “plogging” and see how many pieces of litter you can clean up.

Go outside and watch the clouds. What shapes can you see?

Join Leave No Trace Canada in supporting responsible outdoor recreation.

Cycle along designated bike paths and enjoy the scenic views.

Bring your backyard or board games to the park!

Play outdoor sports like soccer, basketball, or frisbee with friends and family.

Try outdoor yoga or fitness classes for a refreshing workout in nature.

Go on a nature walk and photograph the beauty of your surroundings.

Read a book outside and bask in the sunshine (use sunscreen!)

WEEK 2: JUNE 10-16

Connect with the Land

Go birdwatching in a local park or nature reserve. Find a bench in a park and take in all the sights and sounds.

Read a book outside and enjoy the peace and calm of being outdoors.

Take a walk outdoors without any music. What sounds can you hear?

Try stargazing! See what constellations you are able to recognize.

Have a picnic in a beautiful park and enjoy quality time with loved ones.

Inclusive Recreation

Engage in accessible gardening activities. Discover accessible play spaces or hiking trails in your area.

Participate in sensory-friendly nature exploration activities.

Participate in adaptive arts & crafts workshops and unleash your creativity.

Try an inclusive fitness class on Youtube that caters to people of all abilities.

Explore Your Community

Visit the local farmers market or community spray park! Stroll down main street and check out some local shops and restaurants.

Go on an “architecture hunt” and discover unique buildings in the community.

Visit local museums or art galleries to understand the history of your area.

Explore nearby parks and trails to discover hidden natural gems.

Give back to your community by volunteering somewhere local.

Discover a new local Indigenous artist or musician. Attend local National Indigenous History Month or Pride month activities.

FREQUENTLYASKED QUESTIONS

IS THE BUILDING WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE?

Yes, our whole facility is wheelchair accessible! We have an elevator to reach the upper level and automatic doors for our entrances.

WHEN IS PUBLIC SWIMMING AND LANE SWIM?

Our whole facility is open for public use from open to close. We always have at least one lane available for lane swimming. You can come anytime for a swim!

ARE THERE ROOMS TO RENT?

We have several rooms that can be booked for events such as birthday parties and meetings. Ask our staff for details!

HOW MANY CAN I HAVE IN A FAMILY PASS?

Our family pass includes 2 adults and their own children under 18. Don’t forget that children under 3 years old are free!

WHAT KINDS OF LOCKERS ARE THERE TO USE?

Our lockers are free and open to use. This means you can bring your own lock or rent/buy one from the front desk.

ARE WRISTBANDS REQUIRED?

Yes, all facility users are required to wear wristbands while enjoying the facility.

CAN I RENT OR BRING MY OWN LIFEJACKET?

We have lifejackets for rent for both adults and children. You are also free to bring your own lifejackets, as long as they are clean!

CAN I BRING MY CHILDREN INTO THE FITNESS CENTRE?

The minimum age to use the Fitness Centre is 14 years old. Anyone under 16 years of age is required to be supervised by an adult 18 years or older.
