2021 TIMELINE September 2020 Westside is open with many restrictions; 1,149 members have reactivated; limited number of fall programs begin.

October 2020 Hockey Arena reopens for rentals; gyms reopen to cohort groups for pickleball, badminton.

November 2020 Adult group fitness, gym sports, swim lessons, registered programs suspended by public health order.

December 2020 Three-week closure mandated beginning December 13; 2,441 active memberships put back 35%on hold.

January 2021 Three-week closure turns into threemonth closure; refunds processed for winter programs and arena rentals.

February 2021 One-on-one training permitted; Westside opts to remain closed; core staff return to onsite work.

March 2021 Westside reopens March 8 with limited facilities and low impact activities; 2,038 memberships reactivated.

April 2021 April 6, Fitness Centre, group classes suspended by public health order; April 30, full facility closure mandated.

May 2021 Reactivated memberships placed back on hold; staff begin rejigging facilities and programs in prep for reopening.

June 2021 June 14, Westside reopens with an array of options; 1,434 members reactivate.

July 2021 All health restrictions lifted; Westside maintains safety measures; programs restart, hours expand.

August 2021 Reservations no longer required to visit; change rooms reopen; reactivated members climb to 3,959.
