Animal Science

Do you love working with animals? Have you considered a job in Animal Science? Animal Science may be a program of interest to you. Our Animal Science students learn all about animal breeds, care, nutrition, and medical needs as well as natural resources including wildlife and fish. Students love getting hands on experience and learning more about animals of all kinds from their household pet to the livestock that feeds the world. Animal science is great for any student who likes animals and thinks they might want to make a career out of that love.

PLTW Biomedical Science students are taking on these same real-world challenges – and they’re doing it before they even graduate from high school!

Colorado has gained more than 16,000 construction jobs in the last year and the industry continues to grow! Jobs are in demand and employers are looking for you! The Construction program provides a strong foundation for the skills required by the construction industry. Students learn about woodworking, carpentry skills, residential construction systems, and advanced trade skills used by industry professionals.

All Roads Lead to Westy High School! WHS is a proud member of the Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA). Make it your plan to play sports as a Westy Wolf. Participation in sports is a great way to show your pride, develop ethical values and character while developing Track, Boys and Girls Golf, Football, Boys and Girls Soccer, , Softball, Girls Volleyball, s and s Wrestling, Boys and Girls Basketball, Baseball, Girls Swim and Dive, and Boys Swim.

Westy Futures is for all Middle School students.

Boys and Girls Basketball, Wrestling, Baseball, and Softball.

Westy Juniors is for Kindergarten to 8th grade students. These students compete in an intramural league. All WPS students are eligible to participate.
