He also talks about his father who he lost during COVID and his advice to Derren before he died; “Don’t sleepwalk through life”. In other words, make things happen and don’t have any regrets.
In between amazing things, he told the audience what people who are receiving ‘end of life care’ say they would have done differently; No great surprises, but they were; ‘Spend less time at work’ and ‘Do more of what makes you happy’.

Unlike that poor lady (Dame) Deborah James, the podcaster who passed away in June, we checked our poo!
Like me, he now lives every day like it’s his last. Of course, we both have to work, in order to ‘do more of the things we enjoy’. But both of us have re-organised our priorities and hopefully, when we do depart this earth, we’ll be happy with how we lived the remainder of our time.
We went to see the Illusionist, Derren Brown at the Grand Theatre recently. What a show! What a showman! If you get the chance….
