Student Union West

On Friday 4th of November the newly elected Student Union Council took part in a tailor made training programme to prepare them for their new SU council roles.

The aim of the training was to ensure that the students have the correct knowledge and skills needed to be great student representatives.

The training programme was delivered by NCS in their brand new community hub at Brentford Stadium and included the following sessions:

Team Building

Team identity and setting goals

Project planning and management

Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Creating positive Environments

Leadership Skills and Styles

Student Voice and Way to Campaign

Public speaking

It was a fun day, full of engagement and learning which allowed the newly elected Student Union members an opportunity to get to know each other a little better.

Each attendee left with a certificate in Leadership and Public speaking and a number of other skills that will help them represent the wider student body and improve the overall WLC student experience.
