2024 BUDGET
Budget
As the City presents the Draft Five-Year Financial Plan (2024 – 2028) and the Draft 2024 Budget, it remains important for Council to receive community input into the costs associated with delivering priorities, programs and services that maintain a high quality of life in West Kelowna. Throughout the budgeting process, the City is continually challenged to maintain existing service levels while addressing the demand for new and affordable priorities, programs and services that come with rapid growth. Developing the budget sometimes involves making difficult decisions. Council wants to hear from our community to help shape investment decisions as they continue to govern with fiscal responsibility today and in the future.
This year’s draft budget is forecasting at a 6.85% tax rate increase. Your continued input is needed to guide the investments and operations in West Kelowna as the budget process proceeds.
SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THE 2024 BUDGET Get involved to help shape the budget process that guides tax rates, investments and operations in West Kelowna. Learn about the process, see how your City tax dollars are spent and tell us what’s important across the city and locally in your neighbourhood.
NEXT STEPS: MOVING FORWARD Once our Draft 2024 Budget engagement is completed, staff will present a report to Council on what we heard and seek direction on any changes prior to approval of the 2024 Budget and adoption of the Financial Plan Bylaw in the spring. We’ll also connect with our community throughout 2024 and beyond as we engage on City projects, initiatives, programs and services. CITY OF
