The Items on the following pages are needed by the range. They span the areas of the range from rifle to pistol to trap To Archery as well as for the overall operation of the range. Range Needs West Hills Shooting & Training Facility West Hills has been in development since 2017. Through an agreement with Glenn County, generous donors like yourself, and NRA Foundation Grants we are close to opening, but we still need your help. The items compiled in this catalog may be of interest to you when you use the range. Would you take the time to sponsor and item? Shooting Bench A wooden bench can be constructed with DIY plans for around $200. DIY plans can be provided if you would like to build one or three. Multiple benches are needed for the rifle and pistol ranges.
$200 Target Stand A wooden target stand can be constructed with DIY plans for around $80. DIY plans can be provided if you would like to build several. Multiple target stands are needed for the rifle and pistol ranges.

Gravel for Road Base Road base gravel is needed for the entrance road and the interior roads. One truck and trailer load is about $500 and weighs around 24 tons.

Firebreak Discing Annual the perimeter of the facility and the perimeter of the ranges needs to have a firebreak disced. Volunteers of equipment, time, and fuel are needed on a continual basis.

Well Drilling After opening the range will have a two-year opportunity to build a bathroom with hot and cold running potable, natural water. We will deal with the construction costs later. Right now we need a well.
$35,000 for drilling a public well plus pumps & permits.
If you are a well driller, a life-time membership could be in your future.
Bottled Water Everyone needs water. Did you know that dehydration changes the shape of your eyes and that your shooting performance can be affected?
Donations of product or money accepted. Multiple needed constantly. Recycling service might be needed as well.
Portable Toilet Rental For the first two years of the range being open, portable facilities will be acceptable. A donation of the monthly rental will go a long way in making everyone comfortable.

Office Space / Container The range is in need of a central location for check-in, equipment storage, document storage. You can see where this is beneficial.

Trap/Skeet Range Cement There are plans for three trap fields and one trap/skeet combination. Cement is currently about $200/yard. At least seven (7) yards are needed for a single trap field.
$200/yard Approximately 68 yards are needed for all fields and an additional 32 yards for trap houses.
Grey Concrete Block 6 in. x 16 in. x 6 in. Material for trap houses.
