Making your education more affordable

We understand that the cost of a college education is a big investment. One of the best ways to offset college costs is to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), the form that students must fill out to receive financial aid from the federal and state governments.

In addition to financial aid, Western students are eligible for a wide range of scholarships and grants that can help cover educational costs. Students are encouraged to pursue all forms of scholarships and financial aid, both from Western and outside of WMU.

Additional scholarship opportunities include:

• Local scholarships: Check with your school’s college counseling office to learn about available scholarships.

• Scholarship search platforms: appily.com, fastweb.com, scholarships.com and scholarshipamerica.org
