Summit (April 9 – 10 2024, in Boulder, CO) will bring together artists, designers, technologists, arts advocates, and policy experts to consider the impact of new economic models, new forms of investment, and technological change in arts, culture, and the creative economy.
The Creative Vitality Summit is hosted by WESTAF — the Western States Arts Federation — an organization with deep experience studying the impact of arts and the creative economy, particularly in investigating and comparing regional creative vitality through the Creative Vitality Suite.
Recently, WESTAF completed a major multi-year creative economy strategic planning process for the Washington State Department of Commerce, and a national creative economy and economic recovery study with the National Assembly of State Arts Agencies.
The 2024 summit will feature a range of experts exploring topics like Artists and Extended Reality (XR), Creative Economy Policy Making in States and Regions, Transforming Investments in Artists, Creative Workers, and Communities, Artificial Intelligence and the Creative Economy, and more. Discussions will be led by a phenomenal cast of practitioners and field experts, many of whom are artists and creative entrepreneurs themselves.
Panelists will convene at the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art and stay at the St. Julien Hotel in Boulder. Conference attendees will be able to register and experience the event virtually.
