When can students apply to West-MEC programs?

Current Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors may begin applying in October, and we will review applications in February for the following year. West-MEC is tuition-free, so students who live in West-MEC boundaries will only have to pay minimal registration fees!

Does West-MEC provide transportation?

Students are responsible for their own transportation to a West-MEC program; however, we are currently working with a menu of transit supports. If you anticipate transportation needs, indicate this when completing your application.

Can students participate in extracurricular activities at their home high school while attending West-MEC?

Of course! However, some programs may conflict with extracurricular activities, so it is important to keep this in mind when applying for a West-MEC program. West-MEC students will travel from their high school campus to West-MEC, and will earn elective credits in the process. Work with your school counselor to ensure that your schedule has no conflicts.
