GRANDPARENTS' HONOR DAY

WESLEYAN CHRISTIAN ACADEMY
2023
PSALM 103:17

FROM DR. DAVID RAY HEAD OF SCHOOL

Dear Grandparents and Special Guests,

Each year we host our WCA Grandparents’ Day to honor and celebrate the important role that you play in the lives of our students. Wesleyan Christian Academy has been blessed beyond measure with your faithful support for our students and for our school. When I think of you, I think of Philippians 1:3-4:

“I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. . .”

Thank you. Thank you for your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. You will be encouraged to know that Wesleyan Christian Academy is committed to providing your grandchild(ren) with academic experiences rooted in Scriptures and Christian values. We are more than a school; we are a family. And YOU, as loving supporters of our students and their education, are cherished members.

Our theme verse for this year’s Grandparents’ Honor Day event is from Psalm 103:17.

“But from everlasting to everlasting the Lord’s love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children’s children.”

Our lives on this earth are frail and fleeting, but God and his love in Christ Jesus is from everlasting to everlasting! God has promised to bless those who fear His name, and nothing can hinder the accomplishment of His will. When considering such magnificent mercy and faithfulness, all of creation should stand in awe and give praise to His name! May praise and adoration of the Lord Jesus resound from the heart of every student, teacher, parent and grandparent at Wesleyan Christian Academy.

Thank you, grandparents! We love you and we are thankful for you!

Sincerely,

2

RELATIONSHIPS

WCA teachers not only teach our students, they also pray and care for them. Their goal is to be an extension of the home, especially when it comes to guiding students in biblical truth and love.

CELEBRATIONS

We love celebrating our students!! Each month, Principal Orman recognizes our students’ birthdays with a special treat – just for them!

ACADEMICS

Our teachers take joy in preparing practical, engaging applications to help our students learn!

PARTNERING WITH PARENTS

The holidays are a special time at Wesleyan. Parents love joining their students in the time-honored WCA tradition of building Gingerbread Houses together.

8

SPIRITUAL LIFE

All WCA students have the privilege of attending Chapel weekly. Worship time begins each chapel, followed by a meaningful message from a faculty member or guest speaker.

THE ARTS

Each spring, our 3rd and 4th graders present the annual Elementary Musical! It’s a show-stopper with a biblical message that gives students an opportunity to share their gifts and talents.

SERVICE

One of our many service projects lands in November when students prepare shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child. We delivered over 350 boxes to Samaritan’s Purse last year!

CELEBRATING COMMUNITY

Our Elementary Games Day is the perfect way to wrap up the year, celebrating new friendships and all that we’ve learned!

“I could list so many reasons why we love WCA for our boys. It’s felt like family from day one. The staff here truly loves your kids and wants to see them succeed. They were able to pick up on some learning issues with one of our children and helped point us in the direction to get all the help he needed to be academically on track. From a spiritual standpoint, we love how they pour Jesus into them each day. We tell everyone we know who is considering WCA how it was the best decision for our family."
