SUNDAY 27 AUGUST 2023
PERTH CONCERT HALL

FOREWORD
2023 has been a year-long celebration of Wesley College’s inaugural centenary. How fitting it is then, that we return to the iconic Perth Concert Hall, to continue our now bi-annual traditional celebration of music to present Wesley Takes the Stage
For 100 years, the Arts have been woven into the very fabric of our Wesley DNA. We have a proud and celebrated history at our College, providing opportunities to a diverse range of students to find their passion and facilitate their growth as lifelong learners and appreciators of the Arts.
Wesley Takes the Stage this year is our opportunity to not only reflect on our past but also acknowledge where we are today and celebrate our evolving culture and exciting future. Our current community of artists consist of students and staff working side by side, sharing a philosophy of striving to achieve what is possible without compromise. The work presented tonight will be a testament to the dedication that each member of every ensemble, choir and orchestra gift to each other through continued determination to be the best they can be for each other - validation not only of a vibrant and collaborative culture, but also of people who exude the virtues of those that we are so proud of.
Tonight, as the first note is played and the last song is sung, we acknowledge with pride a century of artists and musicians who had the courage to pick up an instrument and create a lasting legacy, that our community now has the privilege to honour. Wesley Takes the Stage is the celebration of a century of those dedicated to their craft, whose collaborative work has enhanced the quality of our lives and has provided Wesley College with its heart and its soul and will continue to do so for another hundred years.
So please, sit back and enjoy as Wesley Takes the Stage .
