Submarine Escape Beacon

The sMRT V200 is an advanced Submarine Escape Beacon that utilities Automatic Identification System (AIS), Digital Selective Calling (DSC) and 121.5 MHz technologies, for enhanced user safety in distress situations.

Compatible with industry standard receiving equipment already fitted to most Search and Rescue (SAR) platforms and commercial vessels, the sMRT V200 improves rescue coordination, shortens search time, and increases the survivability of the casualty.

All nearby vessels are automatically alerted of the man overboard situation via DSC

IS A Class-M MAN OVERBOARD DEVICE?

A Class-M MOB (Man Overboard) device is an AIS-enabled device designed to comply with ECC/DEC/(22)02 regulations. From December 31, 2024, only Class-M compliant MOBs and Mobile Aids to Navigation (AtoN) will be allowed to operate on AIS channels 1 and 2 in countries adopting the regulation, ensuring these channels are reserved for emergency use. Non-compliant devices will be restricted to channel 2006, which is not monitored for emergencies.

ACTIVATION SWITCH Three position: ON; STANDBY; OFF. LEDs provide the user with a positive indicator of successful operation

SELF TEST: OFF TO STANDBY Activate switch to test the unit battery and confirm operational integrity

MANUAL ACTIVATION: STANDBY TO ON BATTERY SAVING Requires manual activation. Commences a two minute delay of alert transmissions and 5 minute delay of strobe activity. The device is manually activated without removing from case.
