Since 1935 Wendre traces its history back to a farmers’ linen cooperative in Vändra, Estonia. Back then linen was considered the Gold of the North, and Wendre’s first factory-made cloth even more valuable than the raw unprocessed material.

A global bedding producer Shares of the company were bought by Peter Hunt, a Swedish-born business developer in 1996. He used decades worth of experience with sports clothing sales to convert Wendre into an international production company. By 2006 the production has doubled with sales across the world. The company is a part of Trading House Scandinavia, owned by Peter Hunt.
