Paralympics If you don’t have tickets for the paralympic games, the Aylesbury Big Screen will be in Vale Park, HP20 1DX from 12noon to 5pm on Sunday 1 September. Wendover Celebrates Christmas Switch On, Wendover Chamber of Wednesday 5 December It’s difficult to move our minds forward to Christmas but now is the time. Last year everyone enjoyed the Lights Switch On by local celebrity Dolly Saville (the oldest barmaid in the country who has been at The Red Lion since 1940). Wendover Chamber of Trade and Commerce would now like to invite the people of Wendover to nominate a local celebrity to lead the Lights Switch On this year on Wednesday 5 December. Suggestions could include people who have served the community for a long time or perhaps Olympic Games Makers to celebrate this special year.
