Emily Hendrie Jewelry Designer While working toward earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Temple University, Emily Hendrie learned a variety of skills that prepared her for any artistic career she might choose. But, little did she know that a career would soon choose her.

Shortly after graduation, she was recruited in 2008 to work for Wendell August Forge as its first female craftsperson. But it’s when she began designing jewelry for the company that she found her true calling. In June 2009, Emily began a line of UpCycled jewelry utilizing aluminum and bronze pieces that don’t find their way into the final products the other artisans would make. She reconstitutes the piece and creates her one-of-a-kind UpCycled line.
