What is Wonderful Welwyn Garden City?

Wonderful Welwyn Garden City is the brand used by the Welwyn Garden City Business Improvement District (BID) to promote our town centre. You may already be familiar with their lovely logo!

But what exactly is the BID?

All businesses within the town centre are members of the BID including large retailers like John Lewis to small independent hairdressers, coffee shops, restaurants and professional services, as well as Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council. All these businesses contribute a small amount of money to help improve our town, and through the BID, that money is invested into many initiatives to promote Welwyn Garden City; encouraging new businesses in, supporting a safe and inviting environment, as well as organising exciting events like the World Food Festival, Vintage Festival, and festive Christmas lights displays, running online campaigns and competitions, amongst many other things!

At the BID, they are passionate about supporting our town and its businesses, working tirelessly to ensure that the town centre continues to thrive. As a local resident, you are likely just as proud as we are of Wonderful Welwyn Garden City.
