Dédiée au grand public, Studio Live est diffusée un samedi sur deux, sur la deuxième chaîne nationale marocaine. The star presenter of children’s programs Sanaa Kadmiri, is back on TV on 2M with a new music program. It is dedicated to the general public and broadcast live every other Saturday on Morocco’s second biggest channel.
Vous avez été la première animatrice TV pour enfants au Maroc. Comment gèret-on cette popularité ? Je pense que c’est une histoire d’éducation, car j’ai grandi dans une famille où la notoriété existait déjà puisque mon père est un artiste reconnu dans le monde Arabe. Toute ma vie, j’ai été témoin de sa modestie, ce qui a fait que lorsque je me suis retrouvée du jour au lendemain animatrice de télévision, j’ai gardé la tête froide. C’est vrai que j’étais jeune à l’époque, et que je ne me rendais pas bien compte de la notoriété que j’avais, mais j’étais bien entourée par l’équipe, qui était comme ma deuxième famille. You were the first children’s TV presenter in Morocco. How have you handled the popularity? I think it’s a question of education because I grew up in a family which had already experienced notoriety because my father is a recognized artist in the Arab world. All my life, I was witness to his modesty, which meant that when overnight I became a TV host, I kept a cool head. I was also well supported by the team who were like my second family.
Vous revenez à l’antenne après plusieurs années d’absence, mais le public se demande : qu’est devenue Sanaa Kadmiri pendant tout ce temps ? J’ai eu la chance d’être nommée responsable de l’unité enfants. Cela m’a donné l’occasion de former des animateurs, et de créer de nouveaux concepts. Ensuite, en 2006, je suis devenue responsable du premier talkshow pour la jeunesse sur 2M. Le point fort d’AJIAL été la promotion artistique et culturelle au Maroc. L’aventure a duré 10 ans.
You have returned to TV after being absent for several years. What have you been doing all this time? I was lucky enough to be appointed head of the children’s unit where I was training new presenters and developing new concepts. Then, in 2006, I brought out the first youth talk show on 2M.
Quel est le concept de Studio live ? Le concept de Studio Live consiste à inviter un artiste à se produire sur scène pour interpréter en direct 6 morceaux qui ont marqué sa carrière, pendant un concert de 30 mns, qui est ponctué par une mini-interview où l’on va parler de lui et de son actualité. Pour moi, Studio Live est un coup de foudre, qui s’explique par l’amour que j’ai pour la chanson et la poésie Arabe et Marocaine. What is Studio Live? It consists of inviting artists to perform 6 of their most important tracks over 30 minutes punctuated by a mini-interview. I really love the program which can be explained by my love of Arabic and Moroccan poetry.
Comment voyez-vous l’avenir de votre émission ? Pour moi, une émission doit prendre du temps pour évoluer, donc Studio Live n’en est vraiment qu’à ses débuts. Nous avons commencé par un format court, pour pouvoir mieux accrocher le public. Pour la suite, mon rêve serait de faire évoluer l’émission avec le temps, grâce au travail et à la collaboration des artistes marocains, pour arriver à un concept artistique international de haut niveau ! How do you see the future of your show? A show needs time to evolve, so Studio Live is really in its infancy. My dream would be to continue developing the program over time in collaboration with Moroccan artists, to reach a high level of art internationally! M. E. WM N°2 • 25
