News The property market has opened in 2020 with the strength displayed at the end of 2019 across most of the Upper Hunter with similar transactions recorded in the 1st quarter with the exception of Scone where the number of sales settled to a more sustainable level after a boom run to December 2019. Local economic conditions have continued to show stability with increased confidence in our main industry sectors flowing onto confidence from buyers making purchasing decisions. As we write this report we have been faced with unprecedented times and the unknown future impacts of the Coronavirus particularly around job security and spending habits. This said, we have an optimistic view of our

fantastic part of the world given its regional location and resource strong industry which we hope will not only stimulate the country’s economy but also shine a light on the longer term security of the Upper Hunter property market.
