JUNE QUARTER

News Welcome to the end of another financial year and without doubt, the most challenging quarter of our time. Who would have ever thought that a virus pandemic could have impacted the world as it has with so much uncertainty about its impact on our economy including the property market. Surprisingly, apart from a 3-4 week slowdown as COVID-19 took hold in April, the property market in the Upper Hunter has not only remained resilient but performed significantly better than the previous quarter across all centres.

Regional centres have come into their own during the COVID-19 pandemic and the proximity of the Upper Hunter to our major metropolitan centres makes the region attractive to those who maybe planning a move away from

the city. This coupled with record low interest rates (set to remain low for the next few years), government first home owner incentives & government construction grants suggests that the property market in our region has a stable positive outlook throughout the 2nd half of 2020.
