It is designed for college graduates who desire additional education as professional teachers. The program core for the M.A.T seeks to enhance Christian thinking and attitudes, professional teaching skills, and habits of lifetime learners, all of which are critical areas necessary for professional success in teaching.

5 S P E C I A LT Y T R A C K S 1. The TEACHING TRACK is designed to enhance the craft of teaching for K-12 teachers in Christian, public, and private schools. 2. The SPECIAL EDUCATION TRACK is designed to develop skills and concepts for teachers of exceptional students. Completion of this track may lead to a K-5 Special Endorsement for teachers already licensed in Tennessee, or to initial licensure following completion of the required coursework and student teaching.

4. The ENGLISH LANGUAGE TRACK provides preparation for K-12 teachers working with the English Language learners in Christian, public, and private school and in other areas such as overseas ministry. 5. The INSTRUCTIONAL LEADERSHIP TRACK provides preparation for individ-

uals who are pursuing opportunities as K-12 educational administrators in Christian, public and private schools.

3. The HIGHER EDUCATION TRACK provides preparation for teaching at the college level for all educators, including those in public, private, and Christian institutions who serve as collegiate adjunct teachers.

SCHOLARSHIPS A graduate education is expensive, but it is one of the most important endeavors you will ever undertake. We can help you pay for your education by keeping costs low and helping you find financial aid in the form of loans and scholarships. Several institutional scholarships are available for Welch College graduate students. FREE WILL BAPTIST SCHOLARSHIP - $1,320

This one-time scholarship is available for students who have current membership in a Free Will Baptist church. The scholarship is pro-rated with equal portions to be paid at the beginning of each module or course. ACADEMIC MERIT - $2,500

This one-time scholarship is available for students who have an undergraduate GPA of 3.5 or better. The scholarship is not applied until full admission is granted. The scholarship is prorated with equal portions to be paid at the beginning of each module or course. CHRISTIAN SCHOOL EMPLOYEE - $1,000

This one-time scholarship is available for full-time teachers who are serving in Christian schools. The scholarship is pro-rated with equal portions to be paid at the beginning of each module or course.
