Join the legendary Kronos Quartet as they connect iconic Nonesuch records like El Sinaloense from Nuevo, Terry Riley’s Cadenza on the Night Plain, for the 40th anniversary of Nonesuch, with new works from Charlton Singleton, Peni Candra Rini, Aleksandra Vrebalov, and recent arrangements from Kronos cellist and composer, Paul Wiancko.

With new members, Gabriela Diaz & Ayane Kozasa, joining Wiancko and founding violinist David Harrington, Kronos continues to push boundaries and redefine what a string quartet can be. This concert is both a fresh take on their past and a bold step into the future.

A symphony of acrobatics, sound, and light, this is next level circus by Australia’s leading company. Celebrated around the globe for redefining modern circus, Circa brings its innovative blend of acrobatics, dance, and theater to the Green.

Created by visionary artist Yaron Lifschitz, Humans 2.0 is a tightly woven choreography of bodies that are deeply engaged with the possibilities and challenges of being human.

From the imagination of the great band Las Cafeteras, Hasta La Muerte is an enthralling celebration in the spirit of the Indigenous/Mexican practice known as Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). The multi-dimensional performance combines mesmerizing choreography, costumes, and poetry with a score of original and traditional songs. It’s a night of transcendent color and sound as well as a moving invitation to travel through time, rhythm, and memory.

Andrew York is one of today’s best-loved composers for classical guitar and a performer of international stature. Celebrating the Mendelssohn Octet at 200

The Miró and Isidore String Quartets share the stage to celebrate the bicentenary of Felix Mendelssohn’s famed Octet, a masterpiece that has captivated audiences and musicians alike since its premiere in 1825.

The program spans the history of chamber music, opening with the Isidore String Quartet playing Haydn’s Sunrise Quartet and the Miró Quartet offering Caroline Shaw’s Microfictions, Vol. 1. The two groups join forces for Mendelssohn’s Octet, a glorious creation that reflects the spirit of the early Romantic era.

The San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus is back at the Green Music Center co-hosting their Holiday Spectacular 2025. As SFGMC launches their 47th season dedicated to bringing communities together, this concert combines their musical excellence with a cavalcade of favorites across multiple genres and cultures. Be prepared for their signature hilarity, dancing, and heartwarming seasonal cheer. The event is a fundraiser for Face to Face and sells out every year, so get your tickets early.

Emily — No Prisoner Be is a 24-part song cycle composed by Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Kevin Puts for Grammy Awardwinning artists Joyce DiDonato and Time for Three. The music feels at once familiar and new, brimming with energy, passion, and an undeniable chemistry between the performers. Emily Dickinson’s poetry and Puts’ music feel as if they have always belonged together. With atmospheric lighting and strikingly simple staging designed by Andrew Staples, the performance draws audiences into Dickinson's inner world. Step into Emily— where every moment is both intimate and infinite.

Acclaimed Grammy Award-winning mandolinist, singer, songwriter, and composer Chris Thile is a multifaceted musical talent, described by The Guardian as "that rare being: an allround musician,” and hailed by NPR as a "genre-defying musical genius." Thile is a founding member of the highly influential string bands Punch Brothers and Nickel Creek, and has collaborated with countless luminaries including Yo-Yo Ma and Fiona Apple. With his broad outlook, Thile creates a distinctly American canon and a new musical aesthetic for performers and audiences alike.

Their exceptional artistry and uncanny ensembleplaying come from a family rich in Brazilian musical tradition and studies under guitarist/lutenist Monina Távora, a disciple of Andrés Segovia. Sérgio has added to their repertoire by composing music for the duo that showcases their virtuosity.

As soon as The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain walk on stage you are in for a great night. Witty, quirky, and irreverent praised by Bowie and Eno, promoted by the BBC, and raved about by the New York Times, you can expect “an evening of sheer entertainment” from this eccentric group of seasoned performers. Playful, virtuosic, and wickedly amusing, these genre-bending rebels have lasted longer than Led Zeppelin, played more gigs than the Rolling Stones, and rocked harder than Dwayne (The Rock) Johnson.

Step into Weill Hall, a vibrant 1,400seat venue inspired by the world’s most celebrated concert halls. With a gracefully tiered layout—including a raked orchestra floor, a secondfloor choral circle with choir loft behind the stage, and a sweeping third-floor balcony—this space is built for unforgettable performances that are as visually stunning as they are acoustically brilliant.

Weill Hall Loft

A bold reimagining of the concert experience, Weill Hall Loft offers an intimate perspective that turns traditional performances on their head. With 300 seats directly on the stage and within the choir loft, this innovative setting invites both performers and audiences to engage from a whole new vantage point, fully immersing you in the music.

SCHROEDER HALL Schroeder Hall

The 240-seat Schroeder Hall is the Green Music Center’s cherished hidden gem. Designed to accentuate instruments, organ, and voice, this venue delivers an intimate atmosphere.

EDUCATE, CONNECT, & INSPIRE

As a university presenter, the Green Music Center is committed to providing access to diverse artistic experiences to our campus and local communities.

Several of the artists we present in our halls each season engage in activities such as workshops, coaching sessions, demonstrations, and conversations that aim to educate and inspire students of all ages. Participants often receive discounted or complimentary tickets to the artists’ performances to deepen the engagement experience.

The Green Music Center also works with faculty and student program leaders from a variety of disciplines across Sonoma State University’s campus to distribute complimentary tickets to classes and student groups that connect the performances we present with their course and programmatic work.

These experiences develop creative capacities and critical thinking skills, encourage participants to investigate communal and personal values, and inspire understanding through exposure to cultures outside of one’s own.
