As A School We Are Unique, In Numbers We Are Strong And With Skill We Display Our Purpose.

In partnership with The Boys And Girls Club Of Greater Milwaukee, Arts @ Large & Flavors Academy MKE, together, we have constructed a magazine that highlights the inner workings of our school (Milwaukee Academy Of Science). This Magazine provides readers with views from “The Student” perspective. Each section that you will encounter has been hand picked by our team of hardworking creatives, some of which you may be familiar with and some that may serve as a new face to you.

The “Intentional” Creative

Throughout the course, our creatives trained their artistic eyes by learning how to capture moments. Moments are the checkpoints in our lives that can come and go in the flesh, but stay around in memory. Our

method of capturing these moments came in the form of our cameras, our interview questions, and our creative conceps. This compilation of monents allowed us to identify a central theme that took the lead throughout the creation of this magazine, “We Are The Novas”. Though time is always a limiting factor in the art world, we have done our best to make the most of the little time we had together. Take a look at some of our moments.

A S.T.E.M Experience

Since the year 2000, M.A.S has introduced thousands of students to the vast world of Math, Science and Technology. With the sociatal demand for this field rapidly increasing, M.A.S has committed itself to keeping their students ahead of it’s learning curve.

The B.G.C STEAM Lab puts the Art back into our lessons, by providing students with a space that encourages genuine, creative expression.

“The dandelion flower has a yellow-orange hue and comprises many individual, miniature flowers called ray florets. The dandelion flower opens at the time of sunrise and closes at night. “

“The Cheer In Me”

“The Voice of All Voices.” A challenge that this years cheer squad confidently accepts. We’ve Recently sat down with the M.A.S Cheer Captains to gain insight on their pivotable roles as the “Voices” of our collective Student body.

In this 15 minute long interview, we learned about the passions that fuel the captain’s day to day excitement for their craft. Even though the background stories differred from Captain to Captain, their team introduced us to a strong sense of “oneness”. The joy that they naturally poured into each other only further highlights the groups strong leadership qualities.

Capturing the genuine smiles of families as they embrace their student’s reward worthy victories, is the persepective that we allowed to share this Fall. The M.A.S Staff created and maintained a beautifully inviting atmosphere as each student’s name was called up, recieving their specified awards.
