Hello! I’m Becky Male, a professional wedding photographer based in Bristol, in the South West. My mission is to take natural, honest and beautiful pictures – so you can treasure the memories of your day. I became a wedding photographer, because I’m passionate about the art of photography and love those special celebrations! I’m available for weekday, Saturday or Sunday weddings, and am wholly committed to giving you the best experience throughout. I’ll even welcome you to my home, so you can be sure I’m the right fit for you as a couple.

I’ve been honoured to shoot weddings at many locations near Bristol – and around the Somerset, Gloucestershire, and the Cotswolds. I live near Bristol with my husband and children, and with our convenient motorways and airport, I’m available to travel further to your chosen venue. I do love to visit new places! For our own wedding, we found a beautiful location in Italy – I’d happily return to Italy to photograph your wedding if you chose to get married overseas. As a wedding photographer, I love seeing the colours and detail of each unique day unfold. Talk me through your ideas or share your mood board design, and I can add my practical experience from the perspective of creating memorable photographs for you. On the day, I focus on capturing your story in the shots, so you can remember every detail, long after the day is done. Bristol is well known for vibrant colours, graffiti art, creativity and design; I like to bring a little of that magic into every wedding I attend. I know how important it is for a wedding photographer to blend in with your guests, so you can relax and enjoy your day – without worry that the photos will take too long, or someone will hijack your ideas, and insist on a particular group shot. My style as a wedding photographer is classic, yet candid. I take time to get to know who is important to you, staying sensitive to your wishes and those relationships around you. It’s a privilege (and also a lot of fun) to see the dynamics behind a family and friends. I move fast on the day to make sure every guest features in your photos, because they’ll make the story of your wedding celebration complete. SPECIAL MOMENTS AT YOUR WEDDING

As you make your plans, there will be special touches for you as a couple, which make your wedding unique. I often work with wedding stylists and florists, so I understand what they’re creating for you. If you’re getting married in or near Bristol, I know many of the venues and can help you choose whether you prefer candid documentary photos all day – and where to shoot a few more classic poses for your album. It is brilliant to shoot natural photos of people laughing and mingling together, yet it’s worth taking a quiet moment just after your ceremony for some photos alone together. It can be a few precious minutes for you to breathe and simply be a couple, before the party starts! Whichever style of photos you prefer, we will work together on turning your special moments into beautiful pictures, which you’ll want to display in your home. And this is where I most love the way of weddings: sometimes the photographer catches an unexpected moment on the day – which creates a delight in a photo! NATURAL, HONEST AND BEAUTIFUL WEDDINGS

One of my jobs as a wedding photographer is to help every couple focus on their beautiful relationship, and be comfortable in themselves while I’m working with them. When the day comes round, it takes confidence and lots of energy to step up in front of your family and friends, and get married – of course, you’ll be centre of attention for the day. For some, it feels more challenging to be in the spotlight with the camera pointing in your direction. An engagement shoot is an ideal opportunity for you as a couple to work together with me, making the wedding day photography easy and fun for you both. We have the flexibility of booking another location which is dear to you or reflects the image of you as a pair. Whether you love sports, or belong to a club, or have a special place or restaurant, we can shoot some very natural pictures. I love working outdoors, and because the date is not fixed so far in advance, we can book your engagement shoot to suit a fair local weather forecast. CHOOSING YOUR WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER There is a lot of planning for even the smallest and most intimate of weddings, and choosing a photographer is a big decision, because their work will frame your memories for many years after the event. Some helpful questions to ask your photographer while you get to know them are: how do they charge for albums, and digital files? Have a look at my photography packages to compare. How many images will they guarantee? How will they handle poor weather on the day?
