TAKE A HIKE. Seriously.

Sunday Funday is an understatement when it comes SOCHi's monthly events planned at least one Sunday every month. The fun events surrounding health & wellness are nothing short of amazing and wonderful, but none of those adjectives rhymed with Sunday, so we resorted to the title we now have.

On August 12th, a group of SOCHi students met right in front of the Greek Theater in Griffith Park at 8am. Once everyone's attendance was counted we then hiked all the way up to the top of the mountain. The brisk uphill walk in sunny Los Angeles made our students break a sweat and huff and puff with gratitude.

Meet Angel Grigorio A graduate of Southern California Health Institute, Mr. Gregorio has been the program director of the massage therapy and physical therapy aide programs at SOCHi since 2009 and had prior been a lead instructor at the institute since 1999. Mr. Gregorio had been instrumental in developing and perfecting the core curriculum of the massage and physical therapy aide programs.

He had originally studied under Boris Prilutsky the founder of the institute and now he continues to pass the knowledge to his own students. Committed to his love for the profession, he continues to practice massage therapy for his own private clientele.

Our 4.0 GPA Students Despite adversity, our students continue to prove to us that hard work counts towards a goal. Below is a list of all of our 4.0 GPA students from every program.

In prior years he had worked extensively in a physical rehabilitation environment where he had assisted physical therapists in the treatment of their patients. Today, his passion is to give others the opportunity to explore this wonderful world of healing through the art of touch.

A Letter From Our Campus President Often times, many jokingly say, “my presence is a present� in the face of being obliged with gift giving on a special occasion. Here at SOCHi, that phrase can go a long way. To us, your presence is indeed a present. Anytime our students are present in class and changing the tides of their lives, they are giving us the greatest gift of all; pride.

SOCHi is not just a school, but a movement. A movement that involves a community wanting more for themselves. It is not said enough, but we are very proud of you all for showing up and taking control of your career paths. Your attendance is a vital part of this movement.
